Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus feud in the works? Nicki Minaj is clearly the leading lady when it comes to the female rap game, and the Young Money Records star has virtually gone on to become a household name since her debut album “Pink Friday.” Nicki has proven on numerous occasions that she can hang tough with a mostly male dominated genre, and she’s the only female rapper to make it on the Hip Hop Forbes list, and she’s done so twice. But it appears she may be hopping on the bandwagon of folks who are not amused by Miley Cyrus’ new image and new approach to her music career.
Miley Cyrus has been the target of criticism ever since she made that infamous video of herself twerking in an unicorn costume but things really boiled over after the singer decided to twerk at the recent MTV Video Music Awards. Not only was she twerking all over a very married Robin Thicke, but she also offended some people by having only black women as her twerking back up dancers. The performance was even labeled as racist and offensive to some, and Wendy Williams recently put Miley on blast for what she feels is misappropriating black culture. Even Solange Knowles took to Twitter to seemingly throw some shade Miley’s way for “playing black.”
Miley recently clapped back at the criticism and she says she feels it’s racist. She tells Rolling Stone:
“Me and [producer] Mike WiLL were talking about it. He said, ‘For me, my biggest achievement has been working with a white girl—but for a white girl to work and associate with black producers, you’re being ratchet.’ He’s like, ‘Why am I on the come-up if I work with you, but if you work with me, it’s like you’re trying to be hood?’ It’s a double-standard. I didn’t really realize it, but people are still racist.
“If I had come out [at the VMAs] with all white-girl dancers, and done the f*cking “Cha Cha Slide”— same outfit, same everything — it wouldn’t have been bad. But because of who I came out with, people got upset. Because they were girls from the club. They had thick as*es. They were twerking.”
Nicki may have taken a page out of Solange’s book and shaded Miley because the rapper cryptically tweeted about someone “now rapping too” just hours after reports confirmed Miley is rapping on a new track with Wiz Khalifa. She tweets:
A lot of Nicki’s fans seem to think this is shade to Miley Cyrus, but Nicki hasn’t confirmed or denied their suspicions.
She doesn’t need to shade anyone when it comes to rapping. She’s a joke and an embarrassment to the real female rappers anyway.
She’s a joke? How?! She’s achieved things none of them ever have. Even the greats have respect for Nicki. Stop hating.

Miley is also talking about cocaine in her interviews:
“Hollywood is a coke town, but weed is so much better. And Molly, too. Those are happy drugs — social drugs. They make you want to be with friends. You’re out in the open. You’re not in a bathroom. I really don’t like coke. It’s so gross and so dark. It’s like, what are you, from the ’90s? Ew.”
This girl will say and do anything for attention.
She actually said this? The thirst is real!
She’s just trying to shock people. If people started ignoring her, she’d pull the plug on this act.
So not only does she want Rihanna’s spot, but she wants Nicki’s too. She would probably try to take Bey’s spot but she would have to know how to sing and dance to actually do that. Smh.

Well Nicki has to remember it’s her peers’ fault for blowing Miley’s head up and making her think she can do all this stuff. Juicy J lied and told her she’s the best twerker and then Mike Will’s dumb a-s told her the biggest accomplishment of his career was working with her. Those uncle tom rapper dudes keep Miley’s ego out of control.
Why can’t ppl just leave the damn girl alone. Let her make her music the way she wants. I like Nicki and all but why do you care if the girl raps? Scared of a lil competition? Ppl need to mind there own business and worry about themselves

I agree, at this point. The girl is young let her make her mistakes and leave it to her to learn from them. As for the drugs, her parents should have done a little more to protect her from those around her. At the end of the day she is a product of her environment. I am sure when she is 40 it will be another matter, Drew Barrymore learned her lesson. Give her time and if nothing else pray for the girl!
Nicki needs to shut up….. she did a lot of S— for attention too before she made it. Why would and any body care if Miley is trying to rap or not if she makes it she makes it if she don’t she don’t, but who the F— is Nicki to say so she has an opinion.
