Big Sean hasn’t been getting the best press after Kendrick Lamar’s verse to his song “Control” went viral, and although many lovers of Hip Hop appreciate what the verse did for the genre, many just felt Big Sean was the biggest loser on the track considering it was his song, yet his verse was forgettable and he was outdone by a feature artist. However, the G.O.O.D. Music artist says that his love for Hip Hop is what kept him from going back to the studio to redo his verse after he heard Kendrick’s verse, and he’s been a good sport about the backlash considering he’s still very much confident in his rapping abilities. Interestingly enough, his latest album “Hall of Fame” didn’t pull the kind of numbers he hoped for. But there is one area of his life that he is winning, and that’s his personal life.
Big Sean has been dating “Glee” actress Naya Rivera since April of this year, and he’s been clear in interviews that he is completely smitten. The couple came under fire several weeks ago after Naya dissed some of Sean’s ex-girlfriends by name in a track called “Sorry,” and one of his exes clapped back on Twitter and suggested Sean cheated on her for Naya. Regardless, the couple is still going strong despite some of the backlash they received for the track and Naya’s rep confirmed to Gossip Cop that the couple just got engaged. No word yet on when the wedding will be, but both are excited about their upcoming nuptials. Congrats to Big Sean and Naya Rivera.
In related news, Big Sean isn’t the only rapper expected to walk down the aisle soon. A source tells Hip Hop Gossip Site that 2 Chainz proposed to his longtime girlfriend Kesha at the recent taping of the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards. The couple has been together for several years, and they have a five-year old daughter together. No wedding date has been set as of now.

Wow really Big Sean? You’ve only been with Naya since April and you’re engaged already? This won’t end well.
This is the one time I can actually say 2 Chainz is smart. Unlike Big Sean, he’s going to marry the woman who was with him before he had the fame and the money. Meanwhile, Big Sean’s marrying the chick who is thirsty for media attention. I still think their relationship is a stunt. Oh well. Congrats.

Wow. April? And engaged already? That’s pretty fast. As a married woman, I tell everyone not to rush into marriage. Rarely does that work out for people. Heck, it’s hard enough for people who have dated for years to stay married, so why rush into it and make it even harder? Congrats though.
So Big Sean dumped the girl who had his back all those years before he got on to get engaged to Naya in like six months? Typical.

Congrats. I like that 2 Chainz is marrying someone who has been around for years before the fame. I do feel like Big Sean is rushing into marriage, but maybe it will work out for them anyway. You never know.
