Kanye West has made it clear that he’s not fond of giving interviews. In fact, he despises the media almost just as much as he hates the paparazzi, so when he does give an interview he expects it to be taken seriously and praised. However, Kanye is always so honest and candid in his interviews, and most of the times the rapper and producer ends up saying some pretty controversial things. And he’s no stranger to controversy, his latest album “Yeezus” was his most controversial to date, however, it’s still been struggling in album sales. It’s also being reported that his US tour with Kendrick Lamar is also struggling and for the first time since he blew up, he’s having a hard time selling out venues.
One would think Kanye could use a little more controversy to bump up album and ticket sales, so just maybe his recent Twitter beef with comedian Jimmy Kimmel is exactly what he needed. As we reported recently, after Kimmel decided to create a parody from Kanye’s interview with BBC Radio 1 and using two kid actors to get his message across; Kanye then took to his Twitter account to go after the comedian. Jimmy insisted it was just a joke, but Kanye felt like to make light of an interview he feels he was his most honest was disrespectful. While many began to assume the whole thing was just a publicity stunt, Kimmel told his supporters on Twitter that it was real. And now he’s confirmed via his Twitter account that he and Kanye will come face to face tonight, as the rapper has agreed to come to tonight’s show. Kimmel tweets:
Will you be watching?
Is Kris Jenner his manager now? He’s been a huge attention whore lately.
Publicity stunt. That’s all it was.
I guess he figures this will help album sales! I doubt it will help though!
The old Kanye I know would have never agreed to do the show of someone he felt disrespected him. He has really sold out and it’s disappointing.
Yeah this was a stunt. Kanye is really falling off.
Kanye is really a Kardashian now. Nothing but stunts and shows and the stunts now take priority over his music. Very sad.
This has PR stunt written all over it. But I’ll come back here for the video clips. LOL.
I won’t be watching, but I’ll catch the vids on YouTube. #shrugs
Considering Kanye is always a hop and skip away from having an epic b-tch fit, I will tune in. LOL.
Jimmy Kimmel is going to low key embarrass him, just like he did on Twitter. Kanye is a smart guy, but he can’t comprehend the sarcasm of Jimmy Kimmel…if he did, he wouldn’t have acted a fool on Twitter. The whole point of the skit was that Jimmy felt like Kanye acts like a child, and what did Kanye do after he saw it? He got on Twitter and acted like a child. He proved Jimmy’s point and validated his opinion. Showing up to the show may not be a good look for Kanye.
Exactly on point.
Oh Lawd LOL!
