Who was fired from Love and Hip Hop? “Love and Hip Hop New York” was a huge disappointment in its third season or at least that’s what the ratings said. Viewership for the VH1 reality show dropped something serious and eventually pulled in its worst numbers ever as fans of the show expressed on social media that they were not interested in most of the new cast members. The only story lines that garnered any interest involved Yandy Smith and her baby daddy Mandeecees (Mendeecees) Harris, Tahiry Jose and Joe Budden, and Erica Mena and Rich Dollaz. And because the ratings were so bad, it was rumored that there would be some changes made to the cast for season four.

It’s already been confirmed that former “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” star K. Michelle would be joining the cast as a favor to Mona Scott Young, but it’s been a lot of gossip surrounding the fate of everyone else.

Just by the trailer recently released alone, it was confirmed that Yandy Smith, Tahiry and Joe, Erica Mena and Rich Dollaz would be returning, but we did see some new faces in addition to Peter Gunz. But now VH1 has officially revealed the lineup for season four and a lot of folks from season three were apparently fired.

So who got the boot? Olivia, Raqi Thunda, Jen the Pen, Consequence, Winter Ramos, Rashidah Ali, and Lore’l.

And the network has released the names of the new stars. Here’s a little info on each newbie (photos courtesy of VH1).

tara wallace

Tara Wallace is the girlfriend to Peter Gunz, a close associate of Rich Dollaz who we saw a little last season. Tara is a college graduate who attended Jackson State University, and she’s currently the manager of a hot spot in NYC according to the network. She has two children with Peter Gunz, and she wants to be an actress. Despite previous reports, she is not Peter Gunz’s wife as they are not married just yet. Peter will also appear on the show in a supporting role.

erica jean

Erica Jean is another up and coming actress and she attended Howard University. She also has a son and is said to be currently seeking a career in the medical field as a nurse as well.

amina buddafly

Amina Buddafly is an up and coming solo singer who used to have a singing group called “Black Buddafly” with her sisters.

The show returns October 28. Will you be watching? And will you miss anyone from season three that got the axe?

  1. I’m not surprised all those people got fired. I am glad some of these people have education, but if they are just going to embarrass themselves on TV it defeats the purpose.

  2. I’m not surprised they fired any of those people. I think we all saw it coming. But Joe and Tahiry aren’t all that interesting either. Neither is Erica and Rich. This new season is going to be just as dry I’m sure.

  3. I’m just not really interested in this show anymore. I think it has run its course and these new people can’t save it.

  4. Mona has really gotten desperate. Who cares about Peter Gunz? He had one hit song with that other dude and hasn’t been relevant since! And I was a little kid when that song was hot and now I’m a grown woman. Why can’t she get people we really want to see? Like people who are at least dating rappers who are relevant now?! Damn!

  5. Eww. I don’t know anyone they named. And they still kept Erica and Rich. Very lame. And no one cares about Tahiry or Joe. Their story was weak. This season will flop even harder than the other one.

  6. I don’t know who Peter Gunz is (maybe I do but just can’t remember anything about him, who knows) but I’m still not going to watch.

  7. Seriously? The show is called Love & Hip Hop… Two of the new girls aren’t even into music and this Peter guy isn’t even a full cast member! This is pretty lame and I won’t be watching…. Thank God for all of these scripted shows that just premiered!
