Drake is too emotional comments irritate the rapper? It’s safe to say rapper Drake is on cloud 9 right about now as his music career is continuing to move in the right direction. The Toronto-born emcee just recently dropped his third solo album “Nothing Was the Same” which was projected to slaughter Kanye West’s album sales for “Yeezus.” In the end, Drake’s NWTS album sold an impressive 658,000 copies in its first week. In the midst of his album doing well on the charts and his hit single “Hold On” going platinum, Drake confirmed that he is on the verge of going on tour. And already a little controversy has started up as Drake reportedly dropped rapper Future from his tour over the comments Future recently  made about his new album.

Despite the drama surrounding his upcoming tour, Drake’s fans have been talking nonstop about the rapper’s new album. However, Drake’s delivery on tracks has led many people to view him as the lonely, emotional rapper based on what he raps (and sings) about in his songs.

In an interview he did with Q Radio, Drake says he is growing rather tired of people referring to him as an lonely and emotional rapper. And he says is actually a very happy individual who has a lot of great things going on in his life at the moment:

“I’m so sick of people saying that I’m lonely and emotional, and associating me with this longing for a woman…Yeah, I hate that, man. It bothers me so much. I do make music that makes you feel something. But I’m actually not that guy in real life. I’m very happy. I’m not content by any means, I mean, I want to keep working, but I’m a happy person. I’m very excited. My life is constantly exciting. It’s not some sad, depressing story.”

Drake also says he feels like he doesn’t receive enough props for his work because he doesn’t go off and knows how to maintain his composure:

“What bothers me most is sometimes I feel like I don’t get enough credit ’cause I’m not enough of a loose cannon. People just want me to go off more and lose my composure. That’s not me. I’m a naturally poised individual, I don’t want to come out making mistakes.”

  1. Well Drake you kind of made it easy for people to call you emotional and lonely. But as long as you keep making good music, it really doesn’t matter anyway.

  2. LOL says the same dude that got all in his feelings over Kendrick’s Control verse and now doesn’t want to work with him. Come on son.
