Kerry Washington is clearly having lots of success these days as she landed the role of a lifetime with ABC’s hit show “Scandal.” The beautiful actress portrays the show’s leading character, Olivia Pope, and so far the role has landed her plenty of magazine covers and an Emmy nomination. In addition to her surge in popularity, she also made Forbes Highest Paid TV Actresses List, which is a pretty big accomplishment for a black actress. And if that wasn’t a big deal on it’s own, Kerry will also host “Saturday Night Live” on November 2. But the winning continues as the actress just inked a deal with a very big cosmetics brand.
According to multiple reports, Kerry Washington is now the new face of Neutrogena. While the actress will make an appearance in upcoming ads and commercials like other starlets who have partnered with the brand, she is also serving as a creative consultant and creative brand ambassador. In other words, she’ll be more than just pretty face for the company. The company confirmed that Kerry will actually be active in product development, and that’s the part of the deal the actress is the most proud of. Kerry says in an official statement:
“For me, the creative consultant role is also fun because I get to bring my fans on this adventure with me. hey know that I’m not just telling them that I’m passionate about a product because I have to say that contractually. They know that I have a voice in the company and that I’m discovering and learning more about skin health all the time and giving the company feedback.”
Kerry isn’t the only beautiful woman of color who has partnered with the company, actress Gabrielle Union has also endorsed the brand, and appeared in numerous commercials. She took to her Twitter account to congratulate Kerry on joining the brand:
