Kerry Washington may have had a big week since it was not only confirmed that the actress is expecting her first child with new husband Nnamdi Asomugha but she also hosted the latest episode of “Saturday Night Live,” and she’s still getting rave reviews for her performance. However, Nnamdi just got some news we’re thinking he won’t be too happy about. According to the official website for the San Francisco 49ers, the NFL cornerback was just cut from the San Francisco 49ers. The football player only appeared/started in three games this season.
While some sports journalists are enthusiastic that Nnamdi’s days in the NFL aren’t over and they speculate some teams might be interested, there are some suggesting his career is finished.
However, money wise the athlete will be fine as he is expected to get $4 million from his 2011 contract with the Philadelphia Eagles and $1 million from his contract with the 49ers.
And if his NFL days are coming to an end, he could always get more serious about acting.
In related news, it’s being reported that Kerry and Nnamdi made their first public appearance together as a married couple as the lovebirds were spotted at an after party for her SNL performance at One Group’s Asellina. No pictures were taken, but it’s being said that Kerry and her hubby were glowing as the SNL cast gave her a standing ovation.
Man that sucks. I hope this doesn’t hurt their marriage.
Ok this is why this worries me. Yes it’s great he will bring in a few million this year despite being cut, but it’s hard on men to watch their women succeed and their career is struggling. They love being providers. That moment Nnamdi feels like he’s not being a provider, there could be some problems. I really hope that doesn’t happen because they are newly married with a baby on the way and that’s the worst time to go through something like that. I’m praying for them.
Oh sh-t. This is not good. I hope they will be okay.

I’m sure Nnamdi saw this coming a mile away. He was an amazing CB a few years ago but lost his confidence after he played for the Eagles and never recovered. But I could see Buffalo making a move and picking him up. They need all the help they can get.
Damn. I wish them the best. Hopefully another team will pick him up since he was waived. His contract is only like $1 million, right so I wouldn’t say his career is over just yet.
Ouch. This is just another reminder that celebrities are people too and they go through what we go through. Hoping for the best for these two.

Not good. A lot of men become resentful of their woman when she becomes more successful. I hope he doesn’t, but it’s very possible he will.
Man he has fallen off for real he use to be real good corner back when he was with Oakland then he just got sorry. Oh well I think him and Kerry will be fine with those scandal checks rolling in.

Nnamdi seems like a really good guy, so I think they will be ok. I don’t think he will act a fool or be jealous of Kerry. He’s so low-key and not out here being a douche like other athletes, He had to know for some time now that he would get cut. Athletes know when their time is over with any team. Yet he was still happy for her the other night, so that’s a good sign. Kerry also has money rolling in and he’s still bringing in millions this year so they will be fine.
Why are there still zero pictures of these two together?! This is just fishy all around to me! Sorry!
I find it EXTREMELY odd as well…. I love Kerry but these two are never seen together. It is one thing to keep your business private but there is no evidence of a relationship with these two. Beyonce and Jay-Z are private about their relationship as well but we see them together…
I hope he has a plan B for his career. No one can play football forever!
