Love and Hip Hop LA almost a done deal? “Love and Hip Hop” has done so well on VH1 that it was granted a spinoff show in Atlanta. The Atlanta show ended up being more successful than the New York one, and reports of Mona Scott Young looking to create more spinoffs in possibly New Orleans, Houston and Los Angeles began to make rounds on all the blogs. Mona recently confirmed she was looking into all three cities to expand the reality series, but in a recent interview she makes it clear that the next city to get a spinoff will most likely be Los Angeles.
Mona tells Atlanta radio station Hot 107.9’s Beestroh:
“We’ve been looking at a few cities, it’s feeling like we’ll land in L.A., L.A. feels like the next city. Again it’s about struggling artists trying to make it and that’s what’s great about the franchise but it’s feeling like we’ve got some great stories to tell in L.A.”
Mona didn’t reveal who could possibly be on LHHLA if it does happen, but it was rumored several weeks ago that she was in talks with Ray J.
I’m embarrassed to admit I would probably watch just for Ray J. Sigh…
LOL really? I can’t stomach him enough to watch him on TV.
The people who sign up for these shows aren’t smart. You make more money from a reality show when you are behind the scenes than actually on the show. They get getting pimped by Mona and she’s just laughing all the way to the bank.
I think this needs to be the last one. Seriously.
Oh joy. LOL.
Mona is going to ride this gravy train until the damn wheels fall off.
This woman is way smarter than Shaunie O’Neal. Number one, she knew not to be on the show herself. Number two she made sure she actually makes executive decisions, something Shaunie doesn’t get to do because she didn’t know how to negotiate her contract with VH1. And she will have more shows when it’s all said and done. Not to mention other lucrative business deals. Well played Mona.
Eh, I’m good. Atlanta is the only one worth really watching like that and it was lame last season.
Ugh enough! I’m so tired of these trashy reality shows. Create a real show Mona that won’t make you look so bad.
They don’t need any more LHHs. LOL.
I’d bet money that Somoya from first season L&HHNYis front and center begging for a spot! Guess living in dude’s attic didn’t jumpstart her career after all!
Mona isn’t crazy she knows the LHH franchise is already falling off & only going to be hot for maybe the next year or 2 if she is lucky. So she trying to cash out.
