R&B singer Ciara had a certified hit with her single “Body Party,” however her album still didn’t do so well in terms of sales. Despite the disappointment in album sales, Ciara made it known to her supporters that she’s looking forward to what’s next in her music career, and she’s already been putting in more work at the recording studio.

But with “Body Party” being such a success, many of the singer’s fans expected her to get nominated for a Grammy this year. Turns out Ciara didn’t nab any nominations.

She took to her Instagram account to address the disappointment her fans have expressed over the lack of Grammy nominations and posted the following message and writes in the caption:

2 All My Fans Upset About Body Party Not being nominated..

  1. Ciara should not be satisfied with where she is right now in her career. She was extremely successful when she came out with the first two albums, now she can’t even go gold. She needs to get fed up and tired of flopping. That’s the only way she can get back on top.

  2. I kind of wish she didn’t even say anything about it. Just focus on your next album and work even harder next time.

  3. I like Ciara but she gets way to hype about being mediocre. She needs someone to get honest with her and tell her she’s not doing as good as she thinks she is. Like stop it. Your last album flopped and the song only went number one on the R&B charts. You used to slay charts back in the day. Work harder and do better.

  4. I don’t see why people are comparing her to Rihanna over this or associating this with her….to be honest their about even with vocal capabilities anyway, you can just sell Rihanna better at this point.

  5. I can’t with these obsessed fans who jump on posts to belittle and degrade celebrities just because they happen to like someone else’s music. I think there is enough room in the music industry for Rhianna, Beyonce, Ciara, Nikki, Lil Kim and whoever else wants to do it. Live and LET live!! By the way, I love songs by all of these ladies and wish them all success!
