While Lamar Odom works diligently to move forward from his alleged substance abuse issues and even get back to the basketball court via the Los Angeles Clippers, his fate regarding his recent DUI arrest was still up in the air. But now it appears that Odom might have dodged another bullet and some jail time.
According to TMZ, Lamar pleaded no contest to the crime in exchange for three years of probation. The site reports:
We broke the story … Odom was arrested in L.A. on August 30 at 3:25 AM after cops saw him driving too slow on the 101 Freeway. He flunked field sobriety tests and refused to submit to a blood alcohol test. He was ultimately charged with one count of DUI.
But today, Lamar struck a deal with prosecutors … and in addition to 3 years of probation, he’s required to complete an alcohol education class by June 9.
In addition to three years probation, Lamar will also have to pay $1,814 in fines. His driving license was also suspended for a year immediately after the arrest.
So are they still together or not? They’ve been quiet for a while now.
