NeNe Leakes and Kenya Moore’s beef has become the big storyline on the current season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” but the charity event drama has landed NeNe right in the middle of controversy. So the reality star has taken to her Bravo blog to give her side and apologize for falling for what she feels was a trap set up by Kenya Moore. She writes:

WOW! What a show! I don’t have a lot I want to say, but I’ll start by saying I apologize for my behavior at the charity event. I definitely don’t want to teach young women that this is the proper way to respond when someone is trying to trick you into a situation and push your buttons. I would much rather teach young women to be aware of the wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Kenya used the charity’s name for her own selfish reasons. I’m the kind of girl that likes to spill the facts. Everything else is just gossip and B.S. Here are the facts. I never received a call, a text, or an email from Kenya. What I did learn the night before the charity event is that Kenya had used a PR Firm to send e-vites to everyone, which is why I didn’t see it. Fact! You heard me right, a third party! She wanted you to believe she sent me an email and she did not. FACT! If she really had pure, good intentions, she could have picked up the phone, called me, and said, “Hey let’s put our differences aside for a night of charity!”

NeNe also writes that she feels it’s pretty hypocritical for Kenya to try to bash her about her behavior at the charity event when Kenya has been pretty tasteless at the charity events held by others:

I’m a very rational person. I have been a major supporter to Saving Our Daughters and have raised thousands of dollars for them. Fact! All this charity B.S. is coming from a person that showed up at my charity event last year in a thong and butt pads! She even argued outside of Porsha’s charity event! She has no credibility when it comes to charity. I just hope Saving Our Daughters received the thousands of dollars she claimed to have raised.

I’m not surprised things have gone down the way they have between Kenya and me. She had beef with Cynthia over the whole coochie crack thing, then moved on to Porsha, then to Phaedra over a booty video, then to Apollo, and now me! I see straight through her! She’s not original. What’s she’s doing has already been done. I have always stood alone in a war! I might bend, but I won’t break, and if I stumble, I won’t fall! I see what she’s doing and so do you.

And of course she had a few words for former friend Marlo Hampton and Cynthia Bailey:

P.S. Here’s something else I saw: (1) Did you see the opportunist that keeps coming around? (2) Did you see my friend just sit there and indirectly support this B.S.? I have worked with a lot of women over the years, and the one thing that it has taught me is that life is like an elevator — on your way up, you have to let people off!

Thanks to those of you that ride hard for me and support me no matter what! I’m not perfect, but I’m human with a heart!

  1. I can appreciate NeNe for apologizing and admitting she was wrong in how she handled the situation, but kudos to her for bringing up a good point. Kenya did act a a plum fool at the charity events everyone else had, and not once did she apologize nor did anyone get on social media and drag her for it like they are doing NeNe. And that is why I’m on NeNe’s side. People are bashing her for the smallest of things and giving Kenya a pass when she’s done the same stuff or worse.

    1. Kenya did not act a fool at Porscha’s event .. PORSCHA ACTED A PLUM FOOL AT HER OWN EVENT .. Porscha called her guest of honor Miss America and when corrected she dismissively and sarcastically corrected herself .. at an inconspicuous time Kenya left the event and Porscha went looking for Kenya and when she found her she began yelling insults at her .. calling her ashy and saying she belonged on the curb .. so Porsha is just a ding dong and that 165 days a year as she put it … it amazes me the moral compass in our society is all over the place Nene couldn’t be more wicked and disrespectful and people still defend her actions … it’s really sad ..

  2. It’s nice to see her once again admit she was wrong in how she handled something. When will Kenya? Let me not hold my breath.

  3. I cosign everything she said. I love it how she is reminding people how much of an a-s Kenya acted on the show at other people’s charity events. Where was the outrage then? People are so stupid with their fake outrage. They are always selective in who they get mad at. Losers.

    1. The people so outraged are NeNe haters. They have been waiting forever for NeNe to lose, and they want have always wanted her off the show. But the funny thing is Kenya’s new popularity proves that NeNe is still the head chick in charge. Every time Kenya’s name is mentioned, so is NeNe’s. Kenya wasn’t big time enough to get on without NeNe’s name. And she’s the former Miss USA. How sad is that?

  4. Well said. NeNe will just have to put on her big girl panties and stand up for herself. Kenya is out to destroy her and she wants NeNe to leave the show. Don’t give her what she wants NeNe.

  5. I think Cynthia is scared of these women which is why you see no backbone. She don’t want any of them to kick her @$$… This is why Peter is able to control and manipulate their relationship because she is soft.

  6. Kenya should send NeNe some flowers and chocolates for making her this relevant. I mean we haven’t been talking about this chick this much in two decades. There is power in NeNe’s name. Gotta love it.

  7. I’m glad she apologized for how she reacted but I’m sure Kenya will keep lying and acting like she wasn’t trolling NeNe. Too bad she admitted she was up to no good in the confessionals. She’s a rat.

  8. Cynthia is such a two faced person. She’s loyal to no one but herself. Now watch her hop on the Kenya train now, and she’s still going to get fired after this season with her boring self.

  9. And this is why NeNe and Kenya need to come back next season. They are the most popular people on the show and everyone loves to discuss them! Bravo make it happen please!

  10. U go girl….Team NENE….but Ms.Thing set u up…U guys weren’t on the best of terms…so why did she have an event, that included u…She’s trying hard to make u look bad….DONT TAKE TO BAIT!….BUT I WOULD LUV TO C U SLAP THE SH-T OUT OF HER….NOW THAT WOULD BE ENTERTAINING… LOL

  11. I forgive NeNe. I was disappointed in how she responded to Kenya’s fake charity ball because she wasn’t be smart in how she handled it. But she sees now that you can’t give people a platform to destroy you with. And Cynthia was never her friend. Neither was Marlo. They are both opportunists who look out for themselves before anyone else. They will befriend Kenya now because they think NeNe is on the way out. Too bad NeNe will be back next season. But who will miss Cynthia if she doesn’t return? I sure won’t. And Marlo will never hold a peach because she’s got too much of a dirty past. I guess she should just get used to being a guest and Kenya’s lapdog.

  12. Kenya thinks she’s won the game. But she hasn’t because she has no idea that Marlo will throw her under the bus as soon as the opportunity presents itself. Cynthia too. Good luck with that Kenya.

  13. Mark my words, Nene and Kenya are both going to lose in the end if they don’t wake up. Karma has a way of settling the score and humbling people. Nene needs to just let this go and let Kenya hang herself which she will because she’s doing a lot of dirt to become a star on a reality show. So Nene, sit back and sip on some wine and watch Kenya go down just as fast as she came up. Be the better woman. Leave these childish games alone.

  14. Wow, I can’t believe I forgot all about Kenya showing up in a thong and butt pads to that event! Kenya has acted a donkey plenty of times when showing up to someone else event and never once apologize for her behavior. Im glad Nene recognized and apologized for how she handled the situation but I honestly wasn’t mad at her for it. Im just ready for Kenya to go! This broad belongs on LHHATL not RHOA.

  15. Well I ain’t God and neither is anyone else, so I’m not going to hold this over NeNe’s head. I respect your apology NeNe. Just get it together and prevail in the end. You’re still my favorite person on the show. Get back to being funny and leave Kenya to her own self destruction.

  16. I can’t stand NeNe but I’m on her side with this one. Kenya is the last person to talk about someone disrespecting a charity considering how she acted at Porsha and NeNe’s charity events last season.

  17. The jokes just write themselves. Even after all of this, NeNe is still the biggest star on RHOA. Seethe Kenya. Seethe.
