NeNe Leakes’ interview rubbed her former co-stars the wrong way.
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” fans are still talking about the interview NeNe Leakes did with Carlos King. She had a lot to say about her time on the show, as well as its current state. To no surprise, she didn’t hold back when it comes to the cast. And while NeNe does think Kandi Burruss works well in an ensemble cast, she doesn’t think Kandi is a star. In fact, NeNe thinks Kandi is a bit “starless” and unexciting to watch on her own. She told Carlos that Kandi is a bit boring, something Kandi’s biggest critics have also said on social media over the years.

NeNe also admitted she doesn’t feel like Sheree Whitfield brings much to the show despite being an OG. Sheree actually clapped back in response to NeNe saying RHOA was the house she built. And Sheree said it’s “our house” because the platform is led by an ensemble cast. And NeNe responded by reminding Sheree that Andy Cohen himself said that “Real Housewives of Atlanta” is the house that she built.
Kandi Burruss said she is an ensemble cast by herself.
Well, Kandi agrees with Sheree. She and Todd Tucker recently did an interview with 92Q Jams. To no surprise, NeNe’s comments came up. And Kandi said she brings a lot because she’s an ensemble cast on her own.
“One person cannot make a show. Some people get mad because we have had so many specials and stuff like that. But it’s because I’m by myself an ensemble cast…by myself. You see my family whether it’s my momma who’s a star, my husband…that stuff going on, our kids…whether it’s my aunts the restaurants, whether it be the restaurant, everybody that works for me in the restaurant, the Kandi Koated Clique – Don Juan, they are stars. I come with people who are ready to participate in my life. And let it be seen by the world.”
She continued, “So it doesn’t matter if you just don’t like me, it’s everything that comes with me. And I’m okay with everybody on my team shining. Now some certain people want to shine by themselves, and that is the problem. They think they’re outshining everyone else and then when you go outside of them – everyone else and you see you ain’t shining bright. And that be the problem. That’s all I got to say about that.”
OG status doesn’t matter to Kandi Burruss.
Kandi again reiterated RHOA is dependent on an ensemble cast, “I think people need to understand when it comes to Reality TV, even though one person on the show may be your fave or whatever, but that person can’t do it by themselves. And it’s an ensemble situation.”
After one of the hosts tells Kandi she has “the luxury to be boring,” she took pride in being the longest-running housewife.
“I don’t care nothing bout that OG stuff. I’m very clear I did not come out on Season 1. I came in on Season 2. But I show respect to all the OGs, what they did in Season 1 is amazing. But at the end of the day, I have outlasted any OG on any Housewives cast.”

Nene did make the show but she got the big head. I don’t watch it anymore. It has ran it’s course.
It has already been ANNOUNCED that the ratings aren’t on point for this show so who’s fault is that?
We’ve had a lot of conversations about NeNe’s arrogance but not enough about Kandi’s. Not too long ago I saw Kandi smirking when Todd called her the queen of RHOA. But now it takes an ensemble cast, right? The hypocrisy continues. Anyway, I’m not sure why Kandi and Sheree keep swinging in the air over a comment Andy said himself a few years ago. But let’s be real, if you need your employees, friends, and family to bring something to a show, yes, you are boring. Some of the RHOA girls are stars and the others work great in an ensemble cast. Kandi is the latter.
Kandi also has to be activated to be interesting. That makes no sense when she’s the highest paid. She needs to stop ignoring the criticism and start producing before she ends up off the show like Nene.
Bragging about how long you’ve been on a show when the ratings are doo doo is…something. LOL.
Why does Kandi act like she’s above criticism? Her ego is the biggest it’s ever been. Yuck.
Kandi thinks she’s above everybody, if she isn’t careful she’s going to end up like Nene. The problem is Nene’s ego grew to big and now Kandi has a ego problem.
Kandi has gotten boring because NeNe and the rest of the girls she had real relationships and history with are all gone with the exception of Kenya. We need Porsha, NeNe, Cynthia, and Eva back!

DREW, SANYA, AND THE OTHER FRIENS OF THE SHOW DO NOT BRING ANYTHING, NEITHER DOES MARLO OR COURTNEY. SHEREE IS SO INVOLVED WITH THAT SERIAL CHEATER IN HUNTSVILLE, SHE IS ACTUALLY TOO OLD TO FALL FOR MARTELL. ATLANTA HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY #1. HOWEVER IT IS BORING AS SHIT NOW TOO MANY THIRST

Kandi said what she said. Nono out her constantly maligning EVERY one of the housewives, from her couch at home. Ain’t nobody checking for Neenee cause she blackballed herself with that ego. Kandi boring all the way to the bank!! LOL
Kandi is very self centered and eventually destroys anything she’s a part of. She always has to be the number 1 girl. Look at how she moved in Xscape, how she treated SWV, and how she’s treating Drew. But because she’s not as loud with her arrogance and nastiness, some don’t notice it as much as they notice NeNe’s flaws. Kandi is one of the reasons RHOA went from a hit show to completely forgettable and unwatchable. Bravo chose Kandi when they should have let her walk for Phaedra. Watch Married 2 Med have one of its best seasons yet in Nov. I chuckle when Kandi brags about outlasting the OGs. She doesn’t realize that was bad judgment on Bravo’s end and I think editing shows the network now knows she’s the problem.
Kandi’s ego and delusions are blinding her from seeing that she’s exactly where NeNe was before she was pushed out for good. The worse ratings look, the more expensive Kandi’s salary looks to Bravo. She was also in the last chair at the reunion.
