“Real Housewives of Atlanta” may be getting its highest ratings yet in its current season, but those numbers aren’t coming without the criticism and backlash.

In fact, plenty of loyal RHOA fans have taken to social media to complain about the reality show’s very first brawl that went down at NeNe Leakes’ infamous “Pillow Talk.”

It’s no secret that the fastest way for a reality show to become a hit these days is a few physical altercations and petty onscreen beefs between the show’s biggest stars. And so far, NeNe Leakes and Kenya Moore are delivering even if it is causing some loyal fans to walk away, such as daytime talk queen Wendy Williams.

Interestingly enough, one of the show’s main producers is defending the show’s “messiness.”

According to Carlos King, the brawl and nasty beef between NeNe and Kenya is the “entertainment” the show needed. He tweets (read from top to bottom):

Interestingly enough, Carlos is also a producer of “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.”

  1. So one of the Love and Hip Hop ATL producers is now producing RHOA?! It makes sense now! No wonder the show got so ratchet so fast.

  2. It’s all fun and games until the drama gets old and people stop watching. They better hope that doesn’t happen.

  3. Sorry, as a Black women, I DONT find their behavior entertaining…..theres nothing positive…. & If Kenya returns next season…I will be done with RHOA…

  4. Wrong move Bravo. Do they not understand what comes with trying to win over LHHATL fans? They will have to have even more fights and fake story lines. It’s very possible that this will kill the show completely. They are making bad calls just to get numbers that will be hard to maintain without over the top antics. RHOA is supposed to be a better show than LHHATL. Smh.

  5. If this guy is the producer than the beef between NeNe and Kenya has to be staged. He’s known for staging things for the cameras. Hell the fight may have been staged too. Smdh.

  6. Ain’t he the fool that got Kenya on the show in the first place? Kenya has no ties to ATL and moved there for the show. No man, no husband, no real career. No real business. Nothing. And yet she is on still on the show because she can deliver the LHHATL drama the show has been missing. It’s a damn shame because Bravo probably hated that RHOA was the classiest show in the franchise but the stars were black. Now they are out here selling their souls thanks to Carlos “sell out” King and Bravo is getting the last laugh. They wanted the show to become the typical trashy black reality show and now they got it.

  7. He hit it on the spot when he said ” They make them selves look bad”

I can’t front I am entertained by some of things that go on… FYI, Jackie from BBW is not as stupid as we think she is..

To be quite honest RHOA have always been like this… In the beginning NeNe was the the black, ghetto girl with hardly no class, always drunk ,jealous and ready to turn up at any giving time…

    1. Thank you! Someone finally speaks the Truth! And everyone loved her! Ne Ne has been into it with everyone on the show! Now she’s a victim! Kim is probably really sitting back laughing.

  8. Wow. This won’t end well. It’s bad enough that the cast of LHHATL are too old to be acting the way they do but RHOA are older and way more established to be acting this way and this wasn’t a smart move to make it “more interesting” as he put it. Fighting all the time and being messy with everything isn’t always that entertaining. I have plenty of ratchet shows to watch, don’t really need another one
