Just weeks it ago it was reported that Columbus Short’s wife was filing for divorce, but recently it was confirmed that she had a change of heart and has decided to work through their issues.
So we’re pretty sure that why the “Scandal” star had no issues allegedly throwing down after someone in the bar made some comments about his wife that he deemed offensive.
TMZ reports:
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Short was at Gabe’s Bar and Grill in L.A. on March 15 at around 10:45 PM celebrating a couple’s engagement … when he started arguing at the bar with another partygoer.
We’re told the other guy pissed Short off by making a comment along the lines of, “You might be richer than me but I get my girls to buy me everything I want including your wife.”
An eyewitness tells TMZ Columbus then came up from behind and sucker punched the guy. The eyewitness says the man’s nose was broken and he was rendered unconscious for several minutes.
We’re told Columbus quickly left the bar.
The victim was taken to a hospital quickly after and cops tell TMZ that they are investigating a criminal battery.
Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time the actor has been caught up in public showdowns. In March 2010, he was accused of punching someone in the face during an alleged basketball court scuffle that took place at a L.A. Fitness Gym.
I could eat him for breakfast.

The guy he hit was probably just baiting him so he could sue later.
It sounds like Columbus was set up. He will have to give this guy some of that Scandal cash now.

He should not have said anything about his wife. He deserved to be handled. People think they can say and do whatever they want to celebs just so they can sue them when they put a foot in their a-s. Not cool.
