Lupita Nyong’o continues to slay and get great news. The Oscar Winning actress was just named PEOPLE’s Most Beautiful and we have to say we totally agree with the publication’s choice this time around.
Lupita says the honor is great for little girls to see but she also says she’s thankful she learned to recognize her own beauty:
“Light skin and long, flowing, straight hair. Subconsciously you start to appreciate those things more than what you possess.” Her mother, Dorothy, who is the managing director and head of PR for the Africa Cancer Foundation, “always said I was beautiful,” Nyong’o adds. “And I finally believed her at some point.”
