We told you several weeks ago that it was rumored that actor Columbus Short’s time on “Scandal” would be coming to an end soon if he didn’t get his legal issues with his wife in order, and now it’s been confirmed that he will not be returning for season four of the hit ABC show.
The actor sent the following statement to Entertainment Weekly:
“At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I’ve called home for 3 years, with what is the most talented ensemble on television today. I would like to first thank [creator] Shonda Rhimes for the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast. Thank you GLADIATORS, who have supported me throughout my entire career and of course to ABC and Shondaland for allowing me to play such a pivotal role in the Scandal series. I have enjoyed every single minute of it. Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas. I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast, who have become like a second family to me in such a short amount of time. For this, I will forever be grateful.”
We already told you Shonda Rhimes has a strict policy for any actor who stars on her shows. If they get caught up in too much bad press, she has no problems removing their character from the series. And it’s looks like that’s exactly what just happened to Harrison.
I hate to say it but he’s a dumba-s. There are so many actors waiting on that one role on a hit show or movie that will open up the door for them, and this fool blew it. I just can’t with his ignorance.
You gotta think… its still being suspect as far as the whole he threatened to kill his wife. It would be a sad shame if this is proven to be false.
Who didn’t see this coming?
Shonda does not play. She will kill someone off her shows in a heartbeat! LMAOOO!

Well he can’t blame anyone but himself. He should have gotten his anger issues under control when he had the chance.
Seriously, how stupid is he that he squandered such a wonderful opportunity, just because he couldn’t get his sh*t together. So many actors would’ve killed for what he just threw away, because of his temper. That’s what Anger Management, and therapy are for. It’s not like he couldn’t afford it. SMDH!!!
He ruined a good gig smh.
Well back to irrelevant and straight to DVD movies for you Columbus. Now can we work on getting Idris on Scandal to replace this eye candy?
This is why you have to act like you got some sense when God blesses you. If not, it will be taken away. I hope he learns from all of this.
What a waste.
I saw this coming a mile away. Plus the season finale made me think he was a goner anyway. Well he can’t say Shonda didn’t let him know from jump how she runs her shows. Hell he could have seen what happened with Isaiah Washington and saw that Shonda does not play around with actors who get too much bad press. She’s about her business and she expects anyone who acts on her shows to be the same way.
Damn.
Oh well. Maybe he will finally go get some help and get his life together.

I for one hope he takes this time and gets some help. His anger issues are out of control and past arrests confirm that. But I want him to get another shot after he gets the help he needs. Hopefully this won’t be the end of his career.
In this life, either you live and you learn or you’ll just die an old fool. Columbus had so many chances to get himself together and he didn’t. Hopefully this will be the walkup call he needs.
