Floyd Mayweather and his ex fiancĂ©e Shantel Jackson have been throwing shade at each other on social media ever since they broke off their engagement, and Nelly happens to be the new man in Shantel’s life.
But it appears Shantel isn’t the only in the relationship taking shots at Floyd.
During a recent appearance on ESPN, Nelly had this to say when he was asked why he’s currently beefing with Floyd Mayweather:
“I don’t have a beef with Floyd Mayweather.
“I think the whole thing is misunderstood. I try to understand where he’s coming from which is a little hard to do [laughs]. But it’s one of those things where I guess he’s who he is. Now he’s one of those people I don’t think likes the word ‘no’ said to him. And I think if anybody does that, that’s what gets underneath his skin a little bit. But it’s kind of hard talking to a guy who hasn’t graduated from high school.”

Who wants a chick that is some other man’s sloppy seconds. These guys need to get some sister’s that are professional and have their own, not these washed up strippers. They talk about this chick like she is the sh-t. When she was with Floyd she thought he was the best thing since the internet now she is surf boarding with Nelly and soon as he can’t buy her the newest bag he will be an ex. A real women would let some time pass before getting with the next man, only hoe’s set hop.
The only thing that might save Nelly is this mess is that Flyod’s hands are registered as lethal weapons. If he gets into any real physical altercation, he could be charged with assault. Now as to whether that’ll stop him from whooping Nelly’s a-s however, remains to be seen.
Boxers hands are registered as lethal weapons however, if he get’s into a fight with someone who brings harm to him, then it is self defense. Besides I’m a boxing fan, always have been and he is really not all that. I don’t think he fought anyone that can really bring it yet. He keeps dodging a match Pachio…ummm, sipping tea!

Ok Floyd may not have graduated from high school but he has more money and success than Nelly. It’s not always about education. It’s about drive. Floyd is also the only boxer to do what he did in the industry. He makes more money than any boxer who came before him. Dummies can’t do what he did.
You’re right. Some of the smartest and most successful people dropped out of high school or college. I don’t even think Floyd dropped out of high school though.
I agree that he definitely has a lot of money. However, I think education is extremely important. He has a lot of people making business decisions for him. The question will be does he have the brains to interpret what all entails of the businesses that his management is running. You may have people in place to do certain things but you have to understand aspects of the business as well. He does speak like he is illiterate, therefore, he should at least at best brush up on those skills.
It’s all fun and games until Floyd whoops his a-s on sight.

I’m with you on that one. I like Floyd as a boxer. I don’t think he is all that of what the hype is. Definitely not a boxer like back in the day. However, I have always said just because your profession lies within the boxing ring does not mean that you can’t get your azz beat too. #MikeTyson and I love me some Mike Tyson.

Hi Madison, Nelly is old school to the rap world. His time within that business is not heavy. Floyd still has time left in his business. As far as money is concern, Floyd may have more money because he is still relevant but that does not mean that Nelly does not have any money. To your statement, they have extremely educated people who run through there money. Corporations fall because of failed investments.
I don’t think Nelly can really talk about someone being uneducated when he tweets and talks the way he does.

Gretta, think that is just about everyone on Twitter, Facebook and IG. The most educated people are doing it as well…dumb down the language so that all can be a part of the convesation. I just haven’t caught up with that yet.

When you have as much money as Floyd you don’t need an education cause you were smart enough to become the champ now Nelly has an education and he is broke.
Lawrence, that sentence doesn’t even sound legitimate nor reasonable. You can have all the money in the world and lose it all but without an education, you may not be smart enough to return to the top. You need education. If you don’t have anything else, if they take everything from you…you will still have your education.
