Kendrick Lamar caught the Hip Hop world by storm with the extreme success of Good Kid, M.A.A.D City but the Compton emcee is fearful all his massive success could still lead to serious money problems.
He tells Complex Magazine:
“I’ve got this thing where I’m scared I’ma lose all my money. I be talking to a few of my partners that’s doing they thing. A few of them don’t feel the same way but it’s like a real deal for me.
“I treat myself every now and then, but for the most part I be wanting to be smart about it. If my music were to stop today, how would I make this stretch for the rest of my life? My kid’s lifetime? Hopefully my grandkids. If I stopped today how would I do that?
“That’s always in the back of my head. ‘This could be your last moment and your last shot to keep that revenue coming.’ I got a lot of people to support, a lot of people to inspire.”
It’s actually good that he’s thinking about this stuff now. A lot of people in his position don’t, so they end up broke when their career fizzles out.
True.
I can’t be the only person who looked at that picture and started wondering what that tongue can do…
Nah, you’re not.
LOL.
He’s got a lot of sense. Love him!
At least he knows he can go broke! A lot of artists don’t think it can happen to them.
He is so super smart it is so attractive.
