Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are reportedly heading for a divorce, and Nick confirmed recently that they have been living apart for several months.

While those close to Nick claimed he is the one who pushed to split, those close to Mariah are now claiming the singer was actually the one who wanted to end the marriage. And according to them, things took a turn when her last album flopped.

The New York Daily News writes:

“She was devastated when her latest album, ‘Me. I Am Mariah … The Elusive Chanteuse,’ sold just 100,000 copies, and is blaming Nick,” says the insider. “She turned down lots of opportunities to put her personal life ahead of her career and he didn’t. He takes every job he is offered.”

  1. Everyone could see he was working too much. It’s nothing wrong with working but you always have to have a good balance.

  2. But then if he didn’t take all the jobs that he is offered she would probably call him a bum. Sounds like he doesn’t want to be under her shadow as far as money is concerned. He might be immature sometimes but who can bland him?

  3. I mean if he was doing what he had to for his career. You shouldn’t be upset because You didn’t do what was best for yourself. He was smart not to bank all on Mariah. But she should have been a little smarter

  4. Honestly both of them probably have some blame in why their marriage didn’t work out. But I will say Nick’s inability to keep his damn mouth shut was a huge problem.

  5. Nick needs to grow up if he ever wants to get married again. He’s not just too immature for Mariah but he’s too immature for all women.

  6. Most folks forget how sick he was at one point, and how he swore he would cut back and spend more time with his family…that never happened.
