Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s marriage is pretty much over, and Nick already covered up his “Mariah” back tattoo even though neither has filed the divorce papers just yet. Although it’s been rumored that Nick is already playing the field, now sources claim Mariah is just about ready to get back into the dating pool herself.
Interestingly enough, allegedly Nas is the person she’s hoping can get her started.

Mariah Carey has a sweet, sweet fantasy of a dreamlover — and Nas could be the hero who makes it come true. The recently single “#Beautiful” singer, who separated from husband Nick Cannon in August, is looking to be set up in the wake of her split, and she’s hoping the “Nasty” rapper will play matchmaker, a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.
The pop diva “texted Nas, wondering if he had any friends she could go out with — or even just hook up with,” the insider says. “But Nas is nervous to introduce her to anyone.”
We’re not sure if this is true, so we’re labeling it as gossip for now.
I’m assuming this is for PR reasons. Every time a celebrity has a major breakup/divorce, like a few weeks later they are “dating” someone else because they need to always be viewed as wanted so their image won’t take a hit. I don’t think Mariah is seriously ready to date just yet.
Don’t do it Mariah. Rushing into another relationship is not smart.

I personally think it’s too soon for Mariah to be dating she needs time to heal but at least she has come to the realization that the marriage is over and isn’t in denial. Sometimes the realization that the marriage is over is the hardest part so she should be fine.

So what I gather from this is Mariah wants a cut buddy but she ain’t about to let Nick hit it again. Makes sense.
