Just in time for the holidays, there’s a few new albums available for purchase. Beyonce released her EP to her hit self entitled album, Iggy Azalea re-released her debut album, Eminem dropped a compilation album, while Rick Ross is back on the scene with “Hood Billionaire.”
While Beyonce’s numbers look strong, Iggy’s are disappointing considering she did just snag two AMAs.
Here’s the numbers via Hits Daily Double:
SHADYXV (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope) 140-150k sales; 155-165k sales + streams
Beyoncé – Platinum Edition (More) EP (Columbia) 50-55k sales, 70-80k sales + streams*
Rick Ross (Def Jam) 65-70k sales,70-75k sales + streams
Selena Gomez (Hollywood) 15-18k sales, 30-35k sales + streams
Iggy Azalea (Grand Hustle/Def Jam) 11-13k sales, 25-30k sales + streams**
Pitbull (Mr. 305/RCA) 24-27k sales, 35-40k sales + streams
David Guetta (Parlophone) 25-28k sales, 35-40k sales + streams
Interesting fact, Billboard recently confirmed that it will now count streams when calculating album sales.
So adding the streams still isn’t helping sales that much. Interesting.
So they’re basically handing Iggy awards and she still can’t move units. The irony of it all.
Bey only added two songs and she still sold almost 60,000 copies. That’s insanse.
So Iggy is still a flop.
Poor Iggy…the flopation continues!!!
Iggy’s fans will defend her all day on the blogs but won’t buy her album.
Bey is a beast. No words for Floppy Azalea.
Damn Iggy.
