With a new studio album out, Nicki Minaj continues to make press rounds as “The Pinkprint” isn’t too far away from being certified gold. In the meantime, Nicki’s determination to open up more about her private life continues.
Although she’s touched on regretting terminating a pregnancy as a teenager in her music, she talks more about the situation in her recent interview with Rolling Stone.
She says:
“I thought I was going to die. I was a teenager. It was the hardest thing I’d ever gone through.”
Nicki says the choice has haunted her all her life, but she still remains pro-choice:
“It’d be contradictory if I said I wasn’t pro-choice. I wasn’t ready. I didn’t have anything to offer a child.”
You live with abortions forever. But you have to make the best choice for yourself.
The poor baby is doing the most for album sales right now. I hope she can at least go platinum, so this won’t all be in vain.
LOL. You ain’t right.
Sigh.
She’s rapped about the abortion way before she did this interview. I feel bad for celebs sometimes. When they are private, they get dragged for not being open. And when they open up, people think it’s just a stunt to sell albums, get ratings, sell movie tickets…etc. They can’t win.
she’s having this conversation (along with all the safaree stuff) just as this album drops. isn’t that a little convenient?
Sad to hear. Maybe one day she will get the family she longs for.
She’s always talked about the abortion. You can tell it still bothers her. I know some women never really get over it.
I always said she doesn’t seem like a happy person. Now I understand why.
I think she’s ready to be a mom and the regret is fueling that desire. I hope things work out for her.
