Ciara and Future’s engagement reportedly ended after the R&B singer learned he wasn’t being faithful, and there is speculation that the breakup will be addressed plenty on her upcoming album.
In her new song, “I Bet,” it even sounds like she’s addressing their demise.
She sings:
“I would stay if you could tell the truth, but you can’t…Is that your b**** over there, giving me the ugly stare?”
Then there’s the chorus:
“I bet you start loving me as soon as I start loving someone else, somebody better than you. I bet you start needing me as soon as you see me with someone else, somebody other than you.”
Listen to the song below:
Not feeling the song.
Nope.
The lyrics seem very heartfelt but the song is wack.
I need her to get back to being a knockoff Janet/Aaliyah. No shade, but she was at her best when she was about hot tracks and banging dance routines. Promise and Body Party were hot. That’s how she has to do slow songs.
I think she will get back to the basics this time. She kind of has to.
It was ok.
Blah. I hope this isn’t a single.
*Sigh* No girl!
Lame!! I hope this isn’t the musical direction she’s going into.
I think the song can grow on me. Now, is it me or that somewhat sounds like Future in the background?
It does sound like him. Hmm…
Not bad. Not good either.
What is she gonna do, make a song for every man who leaves her for another woman? She wrote Sorry for 50 cent, This mess for Future who’s next?
Forget what everybody is saying the song is hot she did good stop f-cking hating
