Recording artists are usually praised when they give back to the community after embarking on success, but rap group Migos was actually dragged and clowned on Instagram recently when they let it be known they donated to a high school recently.
Apparently the amount wasn’t enough to some folks.
All Hip Hop writes:
The saying goes, “no good deed goes unpunished.” Migos may have learned that proverb the hard way when the Atlanta rap group decided to post a picture on Instagram.
The trio and their record label, Quality Control Music, donated $1000 to Booker T. Washington High School. After Migos uploaded the photo of the over-sized check given to the Atlanta school, IG users began bashing the rappers for being too cheap.
“Coach looking like [the f**k] we [gonna] do with this s**t? Buy everybody a 2 for 5 at Burger King?” wrote one commenter.
Another added, “Printing that check probably cost more than what you donated. Smh.”
“Are you n***as serious? That’s $333.33 each? Y’all supposed to have bands and racks,” posted another user. “You busted out that big ol’ Godzilla ass check for a G? Your shoes worth more than that.”
Why are people acting all uppity when most of them don’t even have $1000 sitting in the bank right now? F-ck outta here.
Exactly!!
Rather they donated $1000 or $100, that’s more than what most of the people complaining donated to the school.
So now we make fun of how much people donate? Wow.
At least they gave back. Most of the people who dragged them never donate anything. I don’t understand why a lot of people think only the rich and famous are supposed to give back. We’re all supposed to. And the amount doesn’t matter.
Like the commentators above said, that’s $1000 more than they had before. Folks nowadays don’t need to have a reason for the negative.
Man shout out to Migos tho. There are people who do make more than them and have donated NOTHING. Trolls will be trolls.
So then how much did the ones dragging them donate? I hope it was more than $1000.
People can be so petty.
Ok so how much $$$$ did the negative @$cracks Donate? You have so many celebs with mega money they got from fans give back to the fans on some just because, at least they took the timE to do so because they didn’t have to. Look at all the famous folks with BILLIONS, made off fans and ask yourself what has that person done for their fans, other than give a concert that you pay $100+ to see a show and all you get is a show, no VIP or anything just a show. GTFOH.
