Al Sharpton has always had critics who questioned his true motives but now he’s been slapped with a lawsuit because some suspect he took money from Comcast to keep quiet about the lack of black TV programming.
The New York Post writes:
The Rev. Al Sharpton’s silence was bought for a cool $3.8 million — so that he wouldn’t complain about the lack of black cable TV programming, an explosive $20 billion lawsuit alleges.
The National Association of African-American Owned Media claims Comcast paid Sharpton and his National Action Network “cash ‘donations’ ” in exchange for not screaming about its lack of solely black-owned channels.
The cable giant also assured that the activist would keep his $750,000-a-year gig as a host on MSNBC, which it co-owns, even as his ratings slump, the suit alleges.
Sharpton calls the allegations and lawsuit “frivolous” but he did confirm Comcast has made donations to his organization but the total donated isn’t anywhere close to $1 million.
He’s been doing this kind of ish for years. It’s how he makes most of his money. People pay him good to shut about about black causes. He also likes to be paid to be vocal about the black causes he does support.
So who’s shocked though? Al is a snake and that’s why the FBI didn’t take him out yet.
Sounds about right.
I have such a lack of trust in our so-called black leaders, that nothing they do ever surprises me anymore!
He’s always been a piece of sh-t.
I’ve always said that a real black activist gets assassinated. Those they don’t bother aren’t really working for the people and have a lot of us fooled.
He’s not the only one they pay off.
And no should be surprised. Smh.
Not surprised at all. He’s a f-cking sell out. Jesse Jackson too. All this faux black power is making me sick.
