It was rumored months ago that Janet Jackson could possibly be working on a new album, but the singer’s camp told fans until Janet makes the announcement herself, it’s best not to get worked up over the gossip.
But now the singer has confirmed that new music is indeed on the way.
Gossip Cop writes:
Janet Jackson is releasing new music, and going on a world tour in 2015! The singer made the surprising announcement on Twitter at midnight on Saturday, which also happens to be her 49th birthday. “I promised you’d hear it from my lips, and now you will,” says Jackson in the video as music plays in the background. She continues, “This year: new music, new world tour, a new movement. I’ve been listening, let’s keep the conversation going.” Watch the video below.

Even if she does, she’s still a legend. No one can take that away from her.
