The official trailer for “The Wiz Live!” has been released.

After months of building anticipation, NBC finally released the trailer for the live rendition of the popular musical “The Wiz” which is due to air on December 3 at 8pm EST.
In the 40-second clip, we get to see a sneak peek of the set, the music, and the all-star cast in costume: Ne-Yo as the Tin Man, David Alan Grier as The Cowardly Lion and Elijah Kelley as The Scarecrow, “Glee” star Amber Riley as Addaperle, the Good Witch of the North, Common as Emerald City’s Bouncer, “Orange is the New Black” star Uzo Aduba as Glinda the Good Witch, Stephanie Mills as Auntie Em, Queen Latifah as The Wizard and newcomer Shanice Williams as Dorothy. However, Mary J. Blige as the Wicked Witch of the West isn’t shown.
Dag I wish they would have showed Mary as the wicked witch! I can’t wait!

Love! Love! Love! it Stephanie and Shanice duet together is just awesome, could listen to this all day. I will definitely be watching. Just wish they had found a way to put Stephanie Mills in the musical as well.
