The current state of music hasn’t been easy for today’s black artists to swallow.
R&B is a dying genre commercially, and it’s pretty unheard of for most R&B artists to even go gold.
And first week sales are even looking bleak for a lot of Hip Hop artists too except for a select few like Drake, J Cole, Kendrick Lamar and Future.
However, it may be trying times for black artists, but some folks seem to think black artists are bringing their downfalls on themselves because they refuse to unite.
Former “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” star Margeaux Simms seems to hold the same belief.

This is such an ignorant outlook on what’s going on with the industry. Black artists collaborate and they still struggle to sell albums. They tweet support of each other, and they still flop. This isn’t the fault of black people beyond the fact that we should hop off our butts and buy more music.

I guess Margo was hiding under a rock when everything went down. People don’t support Azealia because she has a nasty attitude and she starts too much drama.
Did she really use Azealia Banks as an example? Really? That made her whole argument void.
Margeaux and that big a-s jaw of hers needs to have a seat! Nobody collaborates with Azaliea because of her fked up attitude….ask K Michelle!
Nah. She really did try to sound deep though. Good for her.
And this is why she got fired from the show. Her holier than thou attitude is annoying and I’m not here for it.
Azealia Banks is a messy person who bullies people who have been in the industry way longer than she has. She can’t get along with anybody. But it’s dishonest to say black artists don’t support each other. We see that’s a lie every time they do songs together and in some cases full albums. J Cole and Kendrick have an album on the way together and even Drake and Future had a successful mixtape. Black artists also tour together and promote each other’s albums all the time on social media. She should pay more attention before she attempts to come for people.
Ok Imma give Marg-No a pass for Nicki….cause I’m trying to think who does Nicki support besides Young Money, Herself, Beyoncé and her boo Meek Mills?
She married Nikko everybody. Nikko! So I can never take her seriously.
