The Academy Awards received plenty of backlash after Jada Pinkett-Smith and Will Smith decided to boycott the awards show for their lack in diversity, but many critics questioned why the power couple won’t start their own awards show for black actors and actresses.
Interestingly enough, BET may be two steps ahead.
