In a recent interview with V-103, Lyfe Jennings reveals he had to find out about Scrapp and Karlie Redd on the small screen like everyone else:
“Well I know y’all probably been hearing about her cheating on me as far as with the cat Scrapp on the show and they going through they thing…and people really think that I knew about it. I just found out she was with the bruh when I saw it on the show.
“So we had out little conversation about it. But really Karlie Redd man, it’s like…I don’t want to badmouth the lady but it’s like I feel like I’m overqualified for that position right there.”
Lyfe also claims red flags were evident when he learned a little bit more about Karlie’s personality:
When I talk to somebody man…it’s always gossip with her. She telling me what this person doing, what that person doing. And then she hitting me like, ‘you don’t ever answer your phone.’ You don’t know why I don’t ever answer my phone? And then her excuse on the show is, ‘well Lyfe ain’t ever answering his phone. That’s why I found myself with another guy, Scrapp.’ But when you a woman, you do womanly things. You could have just pulled me to the side and said, ‘Lyfe this just ain’t working out for me.'”
“I be thinking is this someone that I really want to introduce my children to? Is this a role model for my children?”
He also claims Karlie Redd is the one who convinced him to do LHHATL:
“She really pressed me into it. Now I really feel like she’s…she uses situations…she really just used that whole situation to get me on the show. I’m not really on there like that. And I don’t want my legacy tied to that but a lot of the times I feel like I’m misrepresented. So I just wanted to give her a fair chance.
“She’s super opportunistic. If I could just tell you some of the stuff that went on…but I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt because I want the benefit of the doubt. But I got left with the doubt.”
Lyfe says he didn’t rush into sleeping with Karlie:
“I wouldn’t even give Karlie the D for a long time because you have to earn this D. I can’t give it away for free. And I regret giving her the D. I regret giving her this superior, great, world-class D. I could have gave somebody else this D and they would have appreciated it.
“Me and her agreed to see other people because she was already seeing other people.”
And when it comes to his failed relationship with Karlie, Lyfe says he’s puzzled by her behavior:
“It’s weird because you’re successful and you usually that thirstiness comes along with a chick that doesn’t have anything but you’re successful and people look up to you and you still smashing any dude with a gold chain on.”
“And I asked her about this. Like if you have low self-esteem, let’s talk about this.”

I don’t even know why he’s on the show. He’s very out of place but didn’t he propose to Karlie? Part of me feels like he was in on everything until Scrapp and now he’s salty.

Maybe he knew n maybe he didn’t but he clearly said he not married well then I don’t know about now but he gave her a chance like every other man did n every last one left. She childish n I’m glad they not together anymore n he right he is over qualified for her.
