Childish Gambino has released a new track from his upcoming album, “Awaken, My Love!”
The newly released track, “Me and Your Mama,” is funky and has a rock feel to it.

“Me and Your Mama” arrives just in time to prep listeners for Awaken’s Dec. 2 release date. It’s a six-minute song with a two-minute intro and a two-minute outro sans Gambino. The two minutes in between appear to be the heart of a breakup anthem, which acts as the album’s opening cut.
“They want to see us falling apart,” he sings, with a pained strain on his voice. “You know that I love you. So let me into your heart. This is the end of us.”
“Awaken, My Love!” drops December 2.
I’ve been on him for a while now. I’m so glad people are discovering his music and Atlanta really helped. I’ll be buying this album.
He’s another person who will get my money this year. He never lets me down when it comes to his music.
