Just to give you a recap of the drama, Sherien Almufti’s ex Derrick Copes blasted her to Radar Online because he claims she’s been taking their daughter to prison to visit Apollo Nida:
I’m not giving her child support right now because she’s taking my daughter to prison and I have asked her numerous times to stop doing that,” he told Radar. Copes normally pays Almufti $450 a month in support for their daughter.
“My daughter is eight years old, she is not happy to go into a prison,” he insisted. “If you want me to give you money, I will, but at the same time you have a responsibility to our daughter.”
As Radar reported, Nida is serving an eight-year sentence at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Facility in New Jersey, and Parks has never taken their sons, Dylan, 3, and Ayden, 6, to see their father.
But Almufti has taken her daughter, Copes said, and he is furious.
He blasted, “If Apollo is in my daughter’s life, that’s no problem — but don’t take her to prison. Phaedra doesn’t even take her kids to prison!”
Speaking of RHOA, Copes also claimed Almufti recently pulled their daughter out of school to go film the show.
“She took my daughter out of school a week an half ago to go to Atlanta to film,” he told Radar. “Who takes their kid out of school to go film when it’s not educational? That is not good parenting.”
Apparently Apollo took to Instagram to clap back at his fiancée’s ex in a now deleted post. He writes:
Do you know the difference between a bucket of KFC chicken & Derrick Copes?? KFC CAN FEED A FAMILY OF 4 while Derrick can’t even pay current or back child support from 2013. #thenidateam #paperwork don’t lie!! this is a high mountain this guy is attempting to climb on. How does he still have time to post on Instagram in prison?
That’s what I would like to know.
I see Apollo and his fiancee are starving for attention. And with him in prison, you’d think they would have better priorities instead of acting like teens on Instagram.

Apollo, I’m trying to figure out how much child support you owe at this point as well. You been in jail since… okay that should be a lot as well. Oh and you are certainly not taking care of your child, I mean children either. The nerve!
