One of the most controversial scenes of “Empire” to date is the flashback scene of Lucious putting a young Jamal in a trashcan after he catches him wearing Cookie’s heels.
Turns out that scene really happened to Lee Daniels as a youngster.

I figured Jamal is pretty much Lee and he lives through the character.
This explains why Lee has so many issues.

Jamal is the only character Lee seems to do right by. Now it makes sense why that is. I mean he IS Jamal. LOL.
