Lee is considering helping his ex Zoe have a baby.
Mary Jane and Lee leave the restaurant and both re shaken up about his baby mama Zoe asking him to donate his sp*rm because she and her girlfriend want to have a baby.
Lee is considering it because his kids want another sibling and he and his ex have discussed having more kids in the past.
“That wasn’t the answer I was expecting.” – MJ to Lee
MJ admits to Kara that she’s annoyed with the situation with Lee and his ex, especially since she was getting ready to have a talk with him about having kids.
Ronda makes another power play but that’s what Justin wants.
At a meeting, MJ and Justin reveal they are working on a anti social media bullying story, however, the source Liz, has an ongoing relationship with Ronda. Ronda is given the story and must head to the Virgin Islands to conduct an interview.
Justin reveals it was his plan to boot Ronda off to the Virgin Islands all along, and he’s going to try to get MJ in her seat while she’s away.
Kara still doesn’t trust Justin but MJ has softened up towards him.
Kara’s relationship with Orlando is no longer a secret.
Orlando does an interview and reveals he’s happily dating Kara. Kara feels uncomfortable because now the entire news room knows about the relationship.
MJ makes her move.
Mary Jane pitches her idea to take over for Ronda while she’s in the Virgin Islands. Ronda has a chit chat with Mary Jane and she reveals that she suggested another woman fills in for her while she’s gone. This doesn’t surprise MJ and she cuts the chit chat short.
Kara begins to have second thoughts.
Kara really isn’t liking all the attention her relationship with Orlando is getting. MJ thinks she’s overreacting, and she should just enjoy the ride.
Lee makes a decision.
Lee surprises MJ at work, and meets Justin, and they have an awkward meeting. In fact, Justin inquires if he is a construction worker.
Lee calls out MJ for ignoring his texts and tells her that he’s not going to go through with the baby plan because he loves her and wants to focus on their future together. MJ is relieved.
Orlando impresses Kara.
Things with Kara and Orlando are still going good despite her annoyance with their relationship now being public, but she’s happy that he had a talk with her son and told him not to buy into all the new attention he’s getting from girls now that his mother is dating Orlando because it’s all superficial. Kara is impressed.
The relationship is also helping Kara’s career. Now she’s been invited to hang out with the top producer outside of work. He invites her to his monthly poker game.
Despite that, Kara still thinks Orlando may be too young for her too much of a celebrity.
MJ is selected to cover for Ronda.
MJ gets her wish and has been selected to take over for Ronda in her absence. Ronda is not pleased.
“If I get to be as big a b*tch as Ronda, you’ll kill me right?” – MJ to Kara
Kara and KJ get real about their relationships.
Mary Jane is considering talking to Lee about having kids but she’s nervous since he just turned down Zoe’s request. However, Kara reminds her that her clock is ticking.
MJ tells Kara about herself and her unwillingness to accept her relationship with Orlando is solid. She tells her to stop creating problems that aren’t there.
“You’re afraid.” – MJ to Kara
Ronda puts some pressure on MJ and it leads to MJ and Justin getting closer.
Ronda puts some fear in Mary Jane about taking her spot by telling her that her last temporary replacement did so poorly she was fired the next day.
MJ stays late to practice and Justin steps by to give her some advice. There’s some major chemistry between them.
Ronda outsmarts MJ and Justin and cancels her trip the Virgin Islands. Instead, she brings Liz to the studio and conducts the interview there.
Mary Jane gets really upset and blames Justin. He reminds her that he’s the one that got her as far as she is there, and that he’s not going to stop until she takes Ronda’s spot. They share a kiss.
Kara calls things off with Orlando.
Orlando comes by with flowers to see Kara and she tells him she no longer wants to be with him. She lies and says he was just a business relationship for her. He tells her he loves her and if he walks out the door and she doesn’t stop him, he’s not coming back.
Kara doesn’t stop him but she breaks down in tears after he leaves.
MJ and Lee discuss having a baby.
MJ and Lee discussing having a baby together and she reveals that it’s going to be hard for her to conceive. Lee isn’t worried and tells her that there are plenty of great doctors in New York. She doesn’t tell him about her kiss with Justin.
What are your thoughts on the episode?
So disappointed in Kara.
She’s going to end up with Justin.
Kara pissed me off. Orlando really did care for her. Talk about self sabotage.
I just don’t see Lee and MJ working out. It’s been too many red flags with him in the last couple of episodes.
Umm MJ doesn’t need to have a baby with Lee. Like not at all.
This was a very frustrating episode. Kara and MJ both made a lot of dumb decisions.
Kara clearly doesn’t want happiness.
