Daytime Divas Recap: Mo Gets Blackmailed by Booty Call + Maxine Plans Revenge

The ladies are preparing for the final segment of “The Lunch Hour” which involves them wearing bathing suits.

“Years ago Maxine made me do a colonic. Big surprise, I was full of sh*t.” – Mo

Maxine, the creator of the show goes on first to introduce the segment which focuses on women accepting their bodies and proudly rocking swimsuits. Mo is backstage throwing shade and accuses Maxine of getting lots of plastic surgery.

Nina and Heather bicker about child labor being responsible for bargain swimsuits.

After Mo accidentally slips up on the stage in front of the audience, words are exchanged between her and Maxine.

“That’s our Mo, Charm School dropout.” – Maxine

“I slipped on something. Oh look Maxine, it’s your v*gina.” – Mo

Maxine and Mo have to be held back before things get physical, and Mo shows Maxine that everything was recorded on her phone. She also throws in Maxine’s face that she was hired to help the show’s struggling ratings. So she feels like it’s her show now.

Maxine is not pleased.

Maxine is fed with Mo and wants the show to go in another direction.

“In one second that bottom feeder made me look foolish.” – Maxine

Maxine tells her son Shawn, who happens to be a producer that something needs to be done because the quality of the show is going down. So he suggests they do a new campaign.

Mo asks Heather if her husband is abusive.

When Mo comes by Heather’s dressing room to question if she’s being abused by her husband since she’s been wearing so much concealer, Heather gets fired up.

She challenges Mo to get in a relationship that lasts longer than their conversations.

Mo takes the hint and leaves and gets it doggystyle from a young man in her car while she keeps count of the number of views her scuffle with Maxine got on YouTube.

Maxine’s surgery doesn’t go well.

Maxine goes in for some routine work, and while under anesthesia, something goes horribly wrong. She is rushed to the emergency room.

Turns out Mo has been having a bootycall relationship with this young man, Leon, a PA for the show. He wants things to get serious but Mo doesn’t want more than what they already have…occasional “sessions” in her car.

Nina’s attempt at getting pregnant hasn’t been working out.

Nina and her husband are told by a doctor that it’s going to be almost impossible for them to get pregnant. Before she can really respond, she gets a phone call about Maxine’s medical scare.

Heather gets a call too while spending quality time with her kids.

Mo gets the news while out shopping. All the ladies rush to the hospital to get an update on Maxine’s status.

Maxine is in a coma.

The ladies go to her room to pray over her, but Mo is too distracted and makes it clear that she doesn’t believe Maxine was getting “throat surgery.” She also asks how quickly they can film the show again.

When Nina and Heather start arguing again, Maxine’s son Shawn runs in and tells them Maxine will probably be in a coma for a while. Despite the scare, the network wants them to film again on Monday.

It’s also revealed that Nina and Maxine’s son Shawn are having an affair.

Kibby feels guilty.

Since Maxine is the one who has been helping Kibby through her legal issues, she tells her girlfriend that she feels like owes her. She’s really worried and hopes Maxine pulls through.

Leon blackmails Mo.

Leon goes to Mo’s stand up show and informs her that he taped one of their sessions. He threatens to put it on YouTube and Mo is excited. Once he explains that he’s blackmailing her, she becomes furious.

“You ratchet a-s fetch boy. I could get fired.” – Mo

Kibby and her girlfriend have a wild night.

They leave the club and go home with a man they met at the club. They go back to his place, do coke and have a three-way.

All three waken up to police banging on the door.

Kibby hides, while her girlfriend and the guy from the club are questioned by the cops. The cops are there because neighbors claimed objects where being tossed out the window.

The man from the club is arrested.

Shawn wants Nina to leave her husband.

While at the hospital, Shawn tells Nina that he needs her and he wants her to leave her husband. Nina doesn’t think she can end her marriage and she tells Shawn he may not want to be with the real her.

Mo fakes concern for Maxine to get information.

After telling Kibby that she should go in and spend some time with Maxine first, she sneaks a picture of Maxine’s medical records.

She then tells Shawn she will do everything she can to protect Maxine’s secrets and shows him the photo she took of Maxine’s medical records.

Mo gets the left chair and is able to score Leon a promotion. Unfortunately, the network says Mo is too urban for left chair and Nina gets the honor instead. However, Mo sits in the left chair anyway, forcing Nina to back off.

Maxine awakens from her coma.

She was in a coma for three days and is furious to see Mo in her chair as she watches on in her hospital bed.

Since Shawn is in the Maxine’s hospital room, Maxine sabotages the show from her bed. She has Mo’s mic cut off, Heather shot from her bad side, and Kibby promoted to field reporter since Nina went after her chair.

She vows to get even and tells Shawn not to tell the media that she is no longer in a coma.
