Virginia goes all in.
Virginia recounts an embellished rundown of what happened to Roller at the clinic.
Jenn, Bryce, Uncle Daddy and Desna listen intently, with Desna now frustrated since she realizes how unbelievable it is. Has
She tells everyone that she saw someone dragging Roller’s body to the dock and they kidnapped her.
When Uncle Daddy asked if she knows how they look, she replies, “They kept the bag over my head.”
Then the story gets hilarious as she tells everyone in the room that the kidnappers applied peanut butter to her feet so wild pigs and other animals would lick them. She then tells of how she escaped from her ties and walked miles back to the funeral home. When Uncle Daddy asks for a name of her captor, Virginia panicked a little. As she looked around the room for a name, she sees a clear IV bag that says Titus. She uses that name but mispronounces the name; “Uh… Titus.” This confuses Uncle Daddy.
Desna doesn’t give him more time to interrogate and suggests she takes Virginia home. But before they leave, Uncle Daddy how Virginia learned of the funeral. Virginia tells him she learned about it from Instagram. Confused as to how Virginia had access to the internet amid being captured and breaking free, Virginia tells them she found a pay phone to call her roommate to pick her up. She then tells them her roommate told her she saw an Instagram post about the funeral.
When Desna gets into the car, she confronts Virginia for not sticking to the plan:
“What happened to the plan?” – Desna
“I came up with a new plan.” – Virginia
“Without bothering to discuss it with me first? This my life too, you idiot.” – Desna
“Don’t call me an idiot.” – Virginia
“Just stop talking. I got enough on my plate China Doll. Now I gotta dodge your Dr. Dolittle bullsh*t? ‘And the turkey goes, ‘B-kaw, b-kaw,’ and the duck goes, ‘quack, quack.’ Did somebody drop you on your head when you were a baby?” – Desna
“I created a distraction.” – Virginia
“And that is the problem. You had to run your mouth talking some made up bullsh*t and somebody has now gotta check this sh*t out.” – Desna
Desna looks over her injuries and sees that they are real. She’s shocked when she realizes Virginia physically harmed herself to make it look like she was kidnapped. Desna calls her crazy for harming herself. While Virginia proclaims to be a hero, Virginia lets her know that Uncle Daddy will come for them when he realizes her story doesn’t check out.
“Since your little a** is a flight risk, you’re coming home with me,” Desna tells Virginia who is totally against this change of plans.
Uncle Daddy goes looking for Titus.
Uncle Daddy goes to an alligator wrestling match to talk to Detective Lauderdale about Virginia’s story. He then tells the detective to look into the story and find Titus. Uncle Daddy really wants to find this person so he can torture them before they are killed.
Virginia is taken to Desna’s house where she meets Dean. Virginia tells him about what happened. She notices his Autism rather quickly. As they talk, Desna tells Virginia she’s taking her to the shop. Virginia objects but Desna doesn’t care.
Dean then pulls Desna to the side and lets her know he wants to become a body builder so he can protect her. He then tells her how he notices how much she stresses during her sleep since Roller’s death.
Jenn is still against Bryce running the clinic.
Jenn is cooking breakfast for her kids when Bryce walks in stressed. He feels that Rollers death is his fault. He tells Jenn that Roller was given the clinic to run when he went to rehab. Jenn tells him Roller’s death isn’t his fault and to continue to decline Uncle Daddy’s request to run the clinic.
Virginia returns to the shop and Bryce walks a fine line between Uncle Daddy and Jenn.
When Jenn, Polly and Ann arrive to open the shop, they are shocked to see Virginia chilling on one of the couches. They aren’t pleased by it either. Jenn pulls Desna to the side, joined by the other ladies and they question Desna’s decision to bring Virginia back to the shop. Jenn calls Desna soft for doing this after Virginia snitched on Polly and sleept with Roller. However, Desna dismisses Jenn’s concerns, citing Virginia’s story and mentioning she doesn’t have anywhere to go.
Bryce joins Uncle Daddy at the shooting range where Uncle Daddy will ask Bryce to run the clinic again. Bryce tells Uncle Daddy that he doesn’t want to face the same fate as Roller. Uncle Daddy gets angry and asks Bryce to run the clinic for a week until they find Roller’s murder. He offers to pay Bryce the same rate as Roller, $10,000 a week. Bryce nervously accepts as Uncle Daddy fires off a machine gun.
Virginia does all she can to keep the story going.
Virginia tells the girls at the shop the story and Desna comes in and politely asks Virginia to stop telling the story. Suddenly, Detective Lauderdale walks into the shop to question Virginia.
Desna listens in from the wall outside the office as Virginia begins to flirt with Chip. Desna gets nervous and distracts both from finishing up the conversation as she begins to bang on office equipment.
Once the detective leaves, Desna tells Virginia that he will investigate every detail she gave him. They head out to a Beef ‘O’ Brady’s corner store to make it look like Virginia was there. When they get to the store, Desna calls Mandy, who quit being her realtor, to convince her to get back on board. She tells Mandy’s assistant that she will meet her at an event Mandy is going to, although she herself wasn’t invited.
Once Desna and Virgina enter Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, Desna tries to bribe the front clerk to no avail, however, Virginia convinced the clerk to validate their story with a “hummer.” He accepts and they walk into the bathroom. After the ladies get back into the car, Virginia washes out her mouth with a Squirt soda, asking Desna, “Am I a hero now?” Desna replies, “Manalla ain’t got nothing on you.”
As they drive off, Desna seems to be worried about Virginia. Virginia tells Desna, “I hope you’re not judging me,” referring to the s*xual act performed in the store. Desna proceeds to tells Virginia that she needs to find new skills and better ways to survive.
“You don’t have to do that anymore.” -Desna
Desna is tasked to mentor Bryce.
Dean is at the beach with Ann to begin his training. Dean is nervous working out with Ann who tells her to warn him before she touches him. As they work out, her ex fling approaches her again, mentioning she called Ann 27 times.
Meanwhile, Desna and Jenn are talking about Bryce running the clinic. Jenn asks Desna to train Bryce. Desna refuses at first, but accepts after Jenn brings up a childhood memory involving sneaking into a New Edition concert.
Uncle Daddy then calls Desna to meet him at his club.
Desna rushes over and meets Bryce and Uncle Daddy. She tells them that she will train Bryce. Bryce and Desna agree and ask for it to be temporary. The detective, Chip, walks in to meet Uncle Daddy. Chip tells Uncle Daddy that Virginia’s story checks out as the employee Beef ‘O’ Brady’s confirmed everything. Desna overhears this, and calls Virginia and tells her that her plan worked. Virginia then asks, “Do you trust me now?”
Ann tries to train Dean with little success.
Dean is at the beach, occupied with something other than training. Ann asks him if he wants to keep training and he declines, because he says Ann wasn’t focused enough. Dean then goes on a rant about how Desna failed to get him a quality trainer or a new house. Ann tells him that Desna’s done a bunch for him and that some promises take longer than others. Dean isn’t hearing this and continues to storm away from Ann.
Desna confronts Mandy and gets a lucky break.
It’s the night of Mandy’s gathering and Desna arrives. Mandy tells Desna that she doesn’t want to work with her because Desna is too ghetto. Desna scoffs at that and as she begins to clap back, Mandy’ssee Desna’s nails and compliment her manicure. Desna tells the ladies about her salon and invites them to the shop.
Bryce gets overwhelmed on his first day at the clinic.
Desna arrives at the clinic to meet with Bryce and the doctor. As the doctor is telling him about his duties, Bryce openly questions why he has to constantly order so little drugs from so many suppliers. Desna tells him that they move more Oxy then they are supposed to, which opens them up to an D.E.A. investigation. By maintaining the status quo, Bryce can avoid the government from getting tipped off onto the drug operation.
Suddenly a woman named Shelly Brickman calls the doctor’s phone and he steps away. As Desna is talking to Bryce, they hear the doctor tip a table over and slam things in his office. He explains to them that Shelly is getting remarried. The doctor then storms off distraught. Desna then tells Bryce that he will have to also keep the doctor and his emotions contained.
Desna gets back to the shop and see Mandy and her friends present. She is surprised to see Polly, Jenn and Ann keeping the ladies comfortable and calm. As their nails are getting done, Polly reveals that she’s had two failed marriages. Mandy is reluctantly there but she slowly seems to get comfortable.
Back at the clinic. Bryce is talking to the clients and Ken, the doctor is brushing off Bryce. As Ken steps outside on a FaceTime call, Bryce runs out to tell Ken that a patient is having a seizure. Thinks turn chaotic as they deal with that as the shipment of drugs arrives. Bryce lets in the courier with the drugs into their locked stockroom and doesn’t watch over him or the room. Instead, he heads back to the person with the seizure to help him and Ken.
However, they come to find the stock room cleared out and the drugs mising.
Desna woos Mandy and her friends.
Back at the shop, Jenn, Ann and Polly are still hanging out with Mandy and her friends. They are drinking wine and champagne, sharing stories about men they’ve been with. When Ann mentioned was married, to a man, the ladies’ ears perked up. When Mandy’s friend who’s getting married mentioned that they missed their restaurant reservation, Desna takes the Bachelorette party to Uncle Daddy’s club. The ladies then party at the club, as Desna and Mandy chat. The Bride makes money dancing on a pole and Ann hooks up with another friend of Mandy’s. Mandy thanks Desna for the invite and appears to be having a good time. As they party, Uncle Daddy calls and demands for Desna head back to the clinic.
Uncle Daddy reveals who’s behind the theft at the clinic.
Uncle Daddy chastises Bryce, Desna, Jenn and Kenn for losing $88,000 of product. Now they will have to work off the debt, getting Desna even deeper in the drug trade.
Densa returns to the shop and Mandy calls to apologize. She tells Desna she believes in what she’s doing and will help her fiend her dream shop. Desna celebrates and tells Polly the good news. Meanwhile, Jenn is square dancing with the Jews next door. Desna walks in to see Jenn. Jenn tells Desna that Bryce is a “recovering drug addict” who she is worried about. Desna tells Jenn the news about Mandy. They begin to cry in each others arms as they both feel they are getting sucked into the very thing they want to get away from.
Uncle Daddy is at his shop with drugs that were taken from the clinic. It turns out that Uncle Daddy set up Bryce and Ken in order to force Bryce back into the business. He had a man fake a seizure and the man who made the delivery was also working for him as well.
Desna is at home getting ready for bed and she is clearly distraught over everything that happened. She gets to her bed room and falls into the bed. She then says, “What took you so long?”
We then see a man who looks and sounds like Roller naked in her bedroom. They then begin passionate love-making as the episode ends.
It’s unclear if Desna is dreaming or if Roller is still alive.
What are your thoughts on the episode?
The ending was weird. There’s no way Roller can still be alive right??
Yea it has to be a dream no way in hell Roller alive.
That’s what I’m thinking too sis. It had to be a dream.
Nah. He’s dead y’all.
He’s dead bae.
he is
Virginia is such a thot.
I have to watch this when I get home from work. I really wish they did like Bravo and didn’t show a new episode last night.
Thanks for the recap. I hate i missed it but I didn’t want to miss Bruno, NE and Xscape.
Roller is dead. It has to be a dream sequence.
I came on here to see if anyone thought Roller is still alive. That last scene was kinda hot though. Just saying.
Ok I just watched it. I think Roller is dead and Desna was just dreaming about him like she usually does. I’m sure she misses the dack though. LOL.
My guess is he’s alive. He’s paid for and credited for all 10 episodes. They found the teeth, no body. Unless all of his appearances are flashbacks, I think he’s alive.
Right and I think Uncle daddy knows who that other body was in that boat. Roller alive
Just a heads up… Desna says, ” Malala ain’t got nothing on you.” Not Manalla….
