Lil Boosie Takes Jay-Z’s New Album Personally, Salty About Instagram Flexing Lyrics

Rapper Lil Boosie is furious with he criticism he’s received since Jay-Z released his critically-acclaimed “4:44” album.

Specifically on the album, Boosie is furious with the second verse of Jay-Z’s “The Story of O.J.” In the verse, Jay-Z addresses the lack of financial stability and planning within the African-American community. He specifically calls out the behavior of people on Instagram holding up large stacks of money to their ear like a phone, symbolizing wealth.

Check out the verse below.

Financial freedom my only hope
F*** livin’ rich and dyin’ broke
I bought some artwork for 1 million
2 years later, that s*** worth 2 million
Few years later, that s*** worth 8 million
I can’t wait to give this s*** to my children
Y’all think it’s bougie, I’m like, it’s fine
But I’m tryin’ to give you a million dollars worth of game for $9.99
I turned that 2 to a 4, 4 to an 8
I turned my life into a nice first week release date
Y’all out here still takin’ advances, huh?
Me and my n****s takin’ real chances, uh
Y’all on the ‘Gram holdin’ money to your ear
There’s a disconnect, we don’t call that money over here, yeah

Since the release of the album, rappers such as Lil Boosie have been criticized for flaunting money on Instagram.

Well Boosie responded to the critics on his Instagram account and pretty much said that he is not going to change what he does. He then brings up that people in the south and Louisiana are still going to do the same thing because that’s what they want to do.

In the Instagram Live Clip, he said the following:

In Louisiana, his word don’t fly. I don’t know about Jersey and all these other places, but down in Jackson, Mississippi, and s*** like that, that s*** don’t fly.

And I’d say that to Jay-Z, I’ll say that to anybody.

I can’t stand them types of n****s.

So you people can keep on… going to social media, under my DM’s… I don’t want to see you.

Gon tell me, “If you want Jay-Z money, you shouldn’t put stacks to yo’ ear.”

Okay… Well, if you’re tryna get Jay-Z money, you shouldn’t put stacks to your ear.

Jay-Z don’t tell me what to do. I don’t know about y’all, but he doesn’t tell me what to do.

In Louisiana, that’s just like a trend, you know. This s*** won’t stop in Louisiana, you know. Stack to our ear and things like that.

Jay-Z is a powerful person. He stopped the auto-tune, and stopped all kinds of s***. But, he won’t stop what born and bred into people’s hearts in Louisiana.

We do what the f*** we want. We’re a different breed. Everybody don’t have bank accounts. Everybody don’t know about assets. Everybody not business minded like Jay-Z.

I hope you don’t think that’s gonna stop us from putting stacks to our ear.

Boosie previously garnered backlash for an interview he had with DJ Vlad, in which he dismissed marriage and praised women who didn’t leave their cheating partners.

  1. I’m sorry but people like this right here are the real c–ns. They hate black excellence and always want black people to settle for the bare minimum. Any talk of advancement gets them in their feelings.

  2. He’s ignorant and has been for a long time. He also can’t speak for the entire city either. There are people from Louisiana who don’t share his ignorant views.

  3. So you was begging for money for your medical bills but then turn around and buy a bunch of chains. I think it’s more about having stacks of money. It’s that fact you can’t afford the lifestyle you want that has you heated

    1. His momma also had to start a Go Fund Me for his legal fees when he got locked up. When he finally got out, he wasted no time buying new chains and cars. Boosie is a joke. I can’t believe I used to like him.

  4. He sounds so stupid and ignorant Jay struck a nerve and these idiots can’t handle it. How are you mad at someone telling you stop flossing on the gram and start creating generational wealth.

  5. His thoughts means nothing to anyone, his five fans got his head pumped but he realistically knows he will never be anywhere near a Jay’z hell he aint even a Meek Mill

  6. It’s weird seeing these rappers all in their feelings right now. It’s like the jealousy is really eating them out. Out here posing with Kanye in family pictures and ranting on IG Live. How embarrassing!
