Brandy and her former friend and songwriter TC are back on the outs.
Not too long after making peace after TC accused her of hating Beyonce in private, they are once again clashing on social media.
Brandy praised Mariah Carey on Instagram the other day and some thought she was shading J Lo in the process (which she has denied, stating she’s a huge fan of both):
Apparently TC posted audio of him recreating Mariah’s hit “Butterfly” on the same day and he felt Brandy was being shady:
So Brandy wrote the following via Instagram in response:

I apologize in advance if this is not the case but if it is, let’s be very clear……I would never use a Legend to shine light on you. I don’t even know what it is you’re doing in life right now. I’m too busy making my life as centered as it’s meant to be and in the will of God as it’s meant to be. I’m never speaking about you unless I am and I will use your name and your number to do so…..( like I did in the first place, but you wanna take it to social media… oh darling, I’m the best at that!) Over the years I have gotten very brave and just outright Unafraid to say what the f*ck it is on my mind. The me you use to know has been crucified! You can never bring me down……. you “high key” love my sound too much and “low key” make yourself visible at certain shows with a certain someone that also doesn’t know how to act appropriately consistently …. I’ve dealt with her insecurities, and her passive aggressiveness for years now. Trying to belittle me all because I can sing. After the exchange, some of Brandy’s fans called for her to stop clapping back on social media and to start rising above the negativity. Brandy doesn’t agree with their prospective and explained why:

Sigh…I really wish all of her fans would be this honest with her. Then just maybe she would start to understand how silly she looks.
So she goes on a rant because of what she heard and not actual facts. Had social media been around when she first came on the scene she would of had the same lame career as Azalia Banks
I’m wondering what it will take for Brandy to finally look in the mirror and realize that she is the cause of all of the fallouts she’s had over the years. She literally has no friends left because she’s a very petty and angry person. She was also a mean girl when she was on top and spent too much time shading other artists. People haven’t forgotten.

I truly believe Brandy has mental issues and needs help. Y’all didn’t even post the rant she had about how she went on to be in a movie with Mekhi Phifer and how “The Boy is Mine” inspired Whitney and Mariah’s duet all because someone posted to lyrics to the song with Meryl Streep’s gif. She’s a weirdo.
Mental illness is real. I also think she’s addicted to those damn pills she took that day she blacked out on the plane. I pray she gets the help she needs and real people who aren’t afraid to tell her about herself cause it damn sure ain’t gonna be her stans.
Where is her mother? Ray J? Father? This is not a sign of a happy and mentally stable person. It’s just not funny anymore.

This whole being real thing is so toxic. Nothing good comes from actively engaging in negativity for the sake of looking authentic. Life is about growth, and growth means you understand it’s not always about doing what feels good at the moment. Especially if it’s going to just bring you down in the long run. All this arguing and throwing of shade isn’t bringing any goodness in Brandy’s life. It’s sad she doesn’t seem to see that.
It’s not a good look for her only since she’s the one who’s actually a legend, yet she’s stooping to other people’s levels. However, I do believe it’s two sides to every story. I think some of her speaking up/ speaking out could be justified as we don’t know what’s going on in her life or the lives of those around her, but again she’s the one who’s a legend. Don’t let these clapbacks become a part of your legacy! Legends ignore the f-cks outta their haters because they’re legends and don’t have anything to prove!
