Cardi B is finding lots of success with her hit single, “Bodak Yellow.”
In fact, many were suspecting she’d have a huge summer, and that’s why so many felt like she should have won Best Female Hip Hop Artist at this year’s BET Awards.
The honor instead went to Remy Ma, but Cardi is just fine with the loss since her single is blowing up on the Billboard Charts and Apple Music/iTunes.
With Cardi finding so much success with her single, some were suspecting that Nicki would be salty about it.
There’s even been rumors that Cardi and Nicki have clashed behind the scenes and some even suspected the following was a jab from Cardi to Nicki:
Interestingly enough, Nicki took to Twitter to shut down the rumors by responding to Cardi’s recent tweet of her lyrics to her song, “Win Again”:
As for Cardi, she went off on Instagram recently about the situation and even dragged someone who told her she doesn’t really like Nicki because Nicki was allegedly rude to her on the red carpet back in the day:
Well there you have it.
I think people just need to believe Nicki is as hateful as they are. I’m glad Cardi isn’t taking the Remy route because that’s not how you win in the long term anyway. Beefs are overrated.
People need to stop trying to instigate a beef. Let them be.
Cardi knows she doesn’t need to beef with Nicki to win.
This is why I respect Cardi. Nicki wasn’t even talking about Remy in that Gucci song (she was referring to Azealia and Azealia even said so on Facebook), Remy let people hype her up and she made that diss song that was full of lies. Then sis went on a full press tour about a beef she started and tried to play victim. Now she can’t get booked unless she talks about Nicki. Meanwhile Cardi isn’t a hater and focused on her own music instead of beefing and look at where she is now. Drake endorsed her, Nicki showed her love, and she’s probably going to collab with Nicki too. She definitely played her cards right.
I’m sure Nicki’s haters will ignore this like they usually do. The need to hate her so much is weird.
People swear up and down they want unity with female rappers but they spend most of their time pitting them against one another. It’s interesting how they don’t do this with male rappers.
