‘Married to Medicine’ Recap: Toya Tests Curtis & He Fails + Quad & Gregory Break Down

Mariah and Aydin catch up.

Mariah tells Aydin about her latest shouting match with Heavenly.

Meanwhile, Heavenly calls up her spiritual counselor Jewel and tells her that she got into it with Mariah yet again. She is told to learn how to exercise self control.

Mariah tells Aydin that she is tired of Heavenly disrespecting Miss Lucy. She also feels like she can’t say anything around the group without there being problems.

Heavenly still feels like Mariah is messy and started their issues.

“I don’t dislike her…I just don’t like her ways.” – Heavenly

Heavenly says she is going to try to let her beef with Mariah go.

Jackie and Curtis have a therapy session at their home.

They have an appointment with Dr. Ken, a couple’s therapist that Simone and Cecil have been seeing.

Their session is being conducted on the internet via FaceTime.

Curtis tells Dr. Ken that he feels like he lost his way and he cheated on Jackie.

“This was an inappropriate relationship.” – Jackie

Curtis says that his affair is over and now he wants to focus on saving his marriage to Jackie.

Jackie says that she wants to get to the point that she can trust Curtis again.

Although Dr. Ken says that Jackie doesn’t need to obsess over why Curtis cheated, Jackie says she needs to know because it will help them move forward.

Curtis says at the time he just wasn’t happy in their marriage.

Jackie apologizes for the distance they had between them and she asks Dr. Ken how they can fix things.

Dr. Ken says that they have to rebuild their trust to move forward.

All the couples start packing for the trip to Barbados.

Heavenly says that she picked Barbados for the location because Damon’s father is from there and he’s only been there once. She also has a big surprise for him too.

Heavenly tells Damon that she’s glad that Mariah is going.

Jackie decides to go on the trip by herself. She is one of the first to arrive at the airport.

Aydin and Mariah arrive to the airport not too long after Jackie.

Curtis surprises everybody by pulling up to the airport.

Simone explains that she is the one who invited Curtis because she feels his marriage to Jackie is headed in the right direction.

Although Jackie is surprised to see him, she seems okay with it but says in a green screen that this can go really bad.

In a green screen interview, Heavenly says she hopes some of the ladies get laid, especially Dr. Jackie.

When the group gets to the resort, Heavenly assigns rooms for the couples.

Toya and the others discuss cheating in marriages, and Aydin says he doesn’t think he could stay with Mariah if she cheated.

Eugene says he thinks men cheat because they feel like something is lacking.

Mariah says it’s unfair for women to be blamed when men cheat.

Jackie and Curtis sit down and talk with Quad and Gregory.

Quad says that she doesn’t want affection from Gregory but an actual connection. Jackie says that it starts with affection but Quad strongly disagrees and says she doesn’t need it.

In a green screen interview, Jackie says Quad seems to have a rebuttal for everything Gregory says. She’s not surprised by this because she feels like Quad has a hard time taking responsibility for her actions.

Quad then says that she and Gregory are in a bad place and she is unsure of their future.

While hanging out in the living room, things get awkward.

Curtis and Jackie are sitting on a couch with the other couples, and Heavenly asks for everyone to find somewhere to sit. Toya announces that she is going to see if Curtis passes the test.

She walks over to him and he pulls her down on his lap by her was it.

Toya then says he failed the test. Heavenly tells her to get up immediately and in a green screen interview, Jackie says Toya needs to come harder if her goal is to upset her.

Eugene says that he feels Curtis was just playing around in a green screen interview.

Toya later tells Mariah that Curtis grabbed her waist and pulled her on his lap. She doesn’t think this is a good sign for Jackie.

The couples have dinner on the beach.

Toya pulls Simone to the side and asks if she saw Curtis pull her down in his lap. Simone says Toya was still wrong because she should not have stayed on his lap although Curtis should not have guided her on his lap.

Quad tells them she feels Curtis was just playing and she’s not trying to judge him. She also doesn’t seem to think Curtis knows what’s inappropriate at times.

“What if that would have been the moment Jackie snapped?” – Toya

Heavenly has the group play a game, the married version of the “Newlywed Game.”

To play the game, couples must answer questions about their spouses and whoever gets the most questions right wins.

When the couples are asked if the husbands are slow and steady or fast and furious while making love, Toya jokes that Eugene is fast and furious when he pleases himself.

This annoys him.

The game gets a little messy for Quad and Eugene.

When it’s asked who’s the best in the bedroom, Quad says she is and Gregory strongly disagrees which annoys her.

When it’s asked what the each spouse remembers the first time they made love, Quad says her butt but Gregory says it’s the fact that he’s happy he paid for her waxing, something she told him he had to do.

At this point, it’s clear that Gregory has had too much to drink and he’s not going to hold back when it comes to giving his answers.

In a green screen interview, Toya says it’s uncomfortable to see Quad and Gregory breakdown in front of their eyes.

Jackie and Curtis win the game.

Toya argues that she and Eugene actually have more points.

“You have to give them a win at this point.” – Eugene

Curtis is happy and suggests they sleep in the same bed. Jackie is not having any of this.

Quad says she knows her marriage is in trouble but she’s going to handle it in due time.

Quad stays behind and talks to Heavenly. Heavenly says she had no idea that things were that bad and she wants to help them.

Toya pulls Jackie to the side and tells her she felt it was Inappropriate that Curtis pulled her down win his lap.

Jackie says she doesn’t feel it was a big deal because he was just playing around.

In a green screen interview, Toya says Jackie needs to keep a real close eye on Curtis.

Jackie says in a green screen interview that she want all her friends to back off because she’s not worried.

  1. Toya that was too much I’m sorry. Jackie just wayyyyyy too calm for me but I have to commend classy when I see it and she handles herself in public well but it’s a sign that she’s a mess behind closed doors and eventually it starts to seep outside onto the front lawn for ALLLLL to see when you’re pushed beyond your limits and they just keep pushing poor Jackie.

  2. I’ma say 1 thing then leave it alone because I’ll be writing a book if I don’t….. Toya was equally wrong as Curtis snake behind.

  3. Honestly, this episode made me realize that so many of these marriages are a hot mess. Toya is married but out here trying to tempt Curtis in front of her husband’s face. Not to mention they rarely have s-x anyway, and Curtis didn’t mind her in his lap. Jackie likes to tweet about how strong she is but it’s obvious that she’s broken. Cecil and Simone…enough said. And Quad and Gregory are hard to watch. The only ones who seem like they are happily married still are Mariah, Contessa and Heavenly. And given how reality shows are, how long will that be the case?

  4. The show is becoming a joke, who is Toya to test anybody & she is pitiful talking about her husband’s self pleasure. would she rather be in Jackie’s place she is such a fool. Quad is sickening and should just go away, she is boring. I cannot believe she is doing all this not to be interesting. Heavenly still makes me sick, her husband acts like he’s stuck in a zone…. This show is losing me……….
