In an extended clip for the first episode, Iyanla sat down with the production crew to talk about what happened the night of Kamiyah’s outburst.
Kamiah shocked the cast taking things as far as she did. They didn’t realize Kamiyah would be set off to the point of the violent outburst during filming. However, Kamiyah’s violent outburst didn’t surprise Iyanla. She knew Kamiyah possibly had the violent outburst in her.
Iyanla then blamed Kamiyah’s father for being unable to settle her down. She also realized that people watching the episode would blame her for pushing her to that point of anger.
Here’s what she had to say:
But you know they’re people who are gonna see this who are in that depth of pain, who are still gonna see the big bad Iyanla into a place. “They were mean to her.”
But this is what the father has done, which robbed him of being able to reel his daughter in yesterday so she could get the help she needed. This is what we do when we don’t have the tools, the equipment, the knowledge to support the people we love. We make somebody else wrong for their behavior.
Are people really trying to blame Iyanla for that child acting a damn fool? I sure hope not.
Her father definitely enabled her.

Kamiyah acted just like those children on Love & Hip Hop. And the way she was bragging about fighting before she found out she was kidnapped lets me know she been had anger issues. We got a glimpse of the real her: violent and angry. And her father has issues too. The audacity of him blaming Iyanla for his child acting like a fool.
That episode was a trip.
She’s never going to get the help she needs because all her loved ones enable her.
Can’t defend Kamiyah when she bragged about fighting before she knew she was kidnapped and talked about stabbing Iyanla. She has anger issues that well before she knew the truth.
