Charlamagne Tha God Says Tyler Perry Helped Him Realize He Was Molested

During Charlamagne Tha God’s episode of “Uncensored” on TV One, he spoke about being molested as a child. However, since he enjoyed it, he didn’t realize what actually happened until he heard Tyler Perry speak about his own molestation experience.

Charlamagne then felt bad, and wondered if something was wrong with him because he liked it.

I was molested when I was 8 years old by my cousin’s ex-wife. I didn’t even realize it was something wrong until I saw Tyler Perry on Oprah Winfrey and Tyler was on Oprah crying about a woman in his family that used to molest him.

I’m like, d*** why are you crying? Why is he crying but I enjoyed it; like it made me wonder if something is wrong with me, so to speak.

I don’t even necessarily know if I remember the first time. I just know it happened a few times and I didn’t tell nobody because I enjoyed it. She told me if I told anybody, she wouldn’t do it anymore. The only reason I made her stop is because she got a Jheri curl and I didn’t like the smell of her Jheri curl.

She started telling me I was ugly then… clown me about my nose. She just tried to demean me from that point on.

I don’t know if it made me like over-s*xual to like I’m some Harvey Weinstein, or Louis C.K. type of person but I definitely got a healthy s*xual appetite.

  1. His upbringing explains so much. Now I understand why he is the way he is. At least he’s getting therapy.

    1. Because boys are taught that being man means being as s-xual as possible and they learn it at a young age sadly.

  2. I really hate what hyper masculinity has done to black boys and black men. They really don’t understand that a grown woman should not be pursuing them. That is rape no matter how you slice it. I’m glad Charlamagne understands that now.

  3. Watched this last night. I had no idea he used to be a drug dealer. He doesn’t seem like the type at all. But this goes to show you that there needs to be more conversations about women who do this. Oftentimes people don’t see it as in issue when a woman is the predator.
