Does Kanye West Like Donald Trump?
That’s a question many have been pondering as of late thanks to his recent endorsement of conservatives on Twitter. Hot 97 FM’s Ebro Darden confronted Kanye about these recent tweets. The two had an apparent conversation that lasted 30 minutes and he reported back on his radio show Monday.
According to Ebro, the conversation between him and Kanye was intense. During the conversation, Kanye said that he did tweet what he did as a way to promote his upcoming records.
Kanye went on to say to Ebro, “Look, I was gonna tweet and give some context. But, I felt to just take this heat right now. And maybe will understand when I put the music out.”
So I was like, “So once again, you’re using [the tweets] for promo.
Ebro then went on to say that he felt that Kanye was “cooning for cash” tweeting what he did and taking the meeting with Donald trump.
He also let listeners know other points Kanye made during their conversation. Ebro points out that Kanye wants to change the way African-Americans think. Plus, he confirmed that the rumors of him being addicted to opioids are true.
Kanye also feels like he wasn’t supported when he was being treated for pill addiction.
Ebro then explained how Kanye also feels he is viewed as a villain, and he wants to just express love. This love also extends to Donald Trump.
Ebro explicitly says that Kanye West “loves Donald Trump.”
He feels like he’s been demonized and as a society, we demonize individuals who are trying to speak out and challenge conventional thought.
Multiple times in the conversation, he said, “I just want to lead with love. I just want to be about love.” I said, “You’re a liar.” Because the people you are aligning yourself with aren’t leading with love.
Then he said, “I do love Donald Trump. I love Donald Trump.”

Kanye said for years he reached out to Obama who didn’t give him the time of day, but Trump did. That’s all that needed to be said right there. So glad Bevy Smith called Kanye out.
Kanye is driven by ego. He’s just like Trump. Both need validation from others constantly. And when they don’t get it, it drives them crazy and makes them angry. I agree with julyol1972. This is really about his bitterness about Obama and Jay/Bey.
