Traci is still nervous about Michael Sr. bringing Wanda to the Baby Shower.
The season finale begins in Baltimore. Towards is in town and meets Traci and Trina to help plan the baby shower. Traci wants the celebration to be big for her parent’s first great-grandchild.
She also isn’t looking forward to any drama associated with Vince or Wanda showing up. Traci agrees with her sisters about telling Evelyn in advance about Wanda showing up.
To lighten the mood, they are shown a game where they drink champagne out of baby bottles. Trina won.
Toni meets her dream Wedding Planner.
Back in Los Angeles, Toni meets up with Tamar and Towanda. Tamar and Towanda meet first and Towanda notices tension from Tamar about planning the wedding with her.
Toni arrives next and Towanda tells her that they will be interviewing 3 wedding planners. They meet the first one Kevin Lee. He shows up in a bright blue blazer and he jokes about her previous marriage. Tamar side-eyes this.
When he gets into his presentation, Tamar asks Kevin, “Have you ever done a thug wedding?”
My wedding will not be a thug wedding Tamar. – Toni
She then asks if he has any hood rat friends.
Toni then scoffs at his suggestion of having dancers and strippers at the reception.
The next planner arrives in a leather jacket and Tamar isn’t impressed.
Lastly, Mindy Weiss, celebrity wedding planner shows up. Toni is impressed immediately and tells her, “I am a fan.”
The two hit it off and they begin brainstorming. When Tamar and Towanda bring up Brian wants to wear a red suit, Mindy and Toni brush it off. Eventually, they become impressed with Mindy and Toni hires her.
Evelyn relieves Traci of some stress.
Back in Baltimore, Traci has Evelyn out in a park. Evelyn says Traci asked her out to Baltimore to help plan the baby shower. Evelyn tells Traci that Kevin Jr. and Oliviah will be living with her.
“They’ll be just fine.” – Evelyn
The mood turns a bit when she tells Evelyn about Michael Sr’s request about a plus one. Surprisingly, Evelyn says yes.
“It’s alright!” – Evelyn
Toni meets with Mindy to iron out their details for the wedding. The wedding will be July 7th, 2018. The bride Toni plans to seat Michael and Evelyn on separate sides of the reception.
Later, she calls Birdman to see if he wants to attend a food tasting, and he initially says no. But when Toni says there will be macaroni and cheese, he says, “I’ll think about it.”
Traci gets bad news about Toni’s tour just before the baby shower.
It’s one day until the baby shower and Towanda and Trina meet Traci and Evelyn at the house in Baltimore. They begin dancing when they talk about giving the parents money, milk and diapers.
They surprise Kevin Jr and Oliviah at home. They told them that Toni can’t attend and they don’t where Tamar is.
They then joke about Olivah being dilated and ask Kevin to “check.”
Next, Traci talks to Kevin and Oliviah about potentially moving out. Kevin tells Traci he wants to stay in her house. He then jokes with Traci that she can take the baby on tour with him. Of course, Traci side eyes this.
Cliff Jones, Traci’s manager, arrives to deliver details about the tour. However, the news isn’t good. He tells her that the promoters haven’t been making “concrete decisions” about the tour.
He then tells her that there are rumors that Tamar and the tour agent don’t want her on the tour. He talked to Toni’s agent and Vince about this but they’ve been getting the run-around.
Cliff tells Traci to call Tamar and ask her point-blank about the rumors. So Traci obliges and asked her about the rumors. Tamar tells her that she’s puzzled about the rumors.
When Tamar says she didn’t say it, Traci questions that. That set Tamar off and she went off on the phone.
“Let me tell you something Traci. You can believe anything you want to believe. That’s a motherf****** lie! – Tamar
Suddenly, Tamar hung up.
“If my family had anything to do with this, I don’t think I’d ever forgive them.” – Traci
Traci’s baby shower occurs without drama and Evelyn meets someone new.
It’s the day of the baby shower and Traci’s family begins to arrive. Despite being upset about the tour, she sons her focus on having a successful baby shower. Evelyn and Trina arrived first and Traci shows them the decorations and the cake.
They’re impressed. Other guests arrive and they drop off their gifts. Michael Sr. arrives with his “plus-one.” It’s Towanda. Towanda said that Michael Sr left Wanda behind so drama didn’t overshadow anything.
Speaking of which, Tamar didn’t show up, amidst the drama with her divorce and the tour.
Kevin Jr and Olivia arrives and Michael Sr jokes, “Oliviah is big!”
They then bless the food. Kevin says that Oliviah has Kevin Jr’s back and is great for him.
Meanwhile, Cliff introduces Evelyn to Archbishop Billings at the event and her daughters noticed the happiness on her face. Michael Sr looks over and jokes with Kevin Jr.
“He’s got one foot in the grave.” – Michael Sr.
Eventually, Michael walks over and offers money if he’s going to take her out. But the Archbishop Billings replies, “I think my black card can handle that.”
At the end of the baby shower, Kevin Sr and Traci present their kids a gift, a stroller.
One month later, Olivia gives birth to her baby. While she’s in labor, Traci does her best to “distract” Oliviah from the labor pain.
When the child is born, everyone in the room is happy, and Traci is distracted from the tour news.
What did you think of the episode and the season?
I really don’t get them (Toni, Traci, Towanda, Trina). Maybe It’s the immaturity & hood in me, but I would light Tamar a-s all the way the f-ck up and possibly get physical. They are WAY too easy on sis. In earlier seasons, Traci would blow tf up and be ready to pop Tamar right on camera, I wonder what changed because chile………
This season was terrible. Very boring.
My thing is why is Toni okay with Birdman refusing to come to the food tasting? That’s not a good sign of what marriage with him is going to be like.
