Damon Dash and Lee Daniels have a long-standing history that involved a lawsuit over money owed to Damon. And now, the two are trending on Twitter because of it.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Damon and Lee settled out of court back in 2015. In the lawsuit, Damon alleged he loaned Lee Daniels $2 million for his movie “The Woodsman.”
Dame enlisted artists such as Kanye West to help promote the film, but never recouped the initial investment.
Although, they agreed to a settlement, Dame still hasn’t seen any of the $2 million from Lee.
So in a recent Instagram post, Damon posted a video where he confronted Lee Daniels at an event recently. Lee remained calm, trying to dismiss Damon, Dame didn’t budge.
In the clip, he demanded his $2 million from Lee Daniels, and said he’d sue him again if he didn’t get it. Dame posted the clip with a message that said, “see you back in court. You’re gonna pay me what you owe.”

Lee Daniels has yet to respond to the claim.

But is anybody really surprised Monique been said how Lee Daniels gets down Monique might be alot of things but she never seemed to be a liar. And what’s real messed up about this is it ain’t like Lee don’t have the money if you owe someone pay them. Lee know he dead wrong he not even denying it real snake move.
Just pay the man.
