Jenn wants to go to a Bel Biv Devoe concert, and asks Ann to babysit Saturday night. Desna then texts Ann asking her to pick up items for a spa day in the salon.
This frustrates Ann to no end, throwing down her cell phone in frustration.

Ann stops by She-She’s as Poly is coaching up her dancers. She praises XXL for getting a huge tip, as a result of giving a “happy ending.” Poly tells Ann that Zlata found out about it, and now they have a full happy ending menu.
Dean comes over asking about happy endings, which scares Ann and Poly. Poly tells Dean to focus on just dancing, and not to sell party drugs or give any women happy endings. Ann gets sarcastic in her thoughts.
“Yeah Dean, my happy ending was ruined saving your sister’s a**. Now I spend my nights jacking off to fitness magazines.” – Ann
Uncle Daddy and Roller walk in with Bryce and he tells Ann he needs a ride back to the clinic.
“Great… Now I am driving miss Desna and the loudmouth redneck.” – Ann
Desna and Uncle Daddy ended up in the van with Ann. Uncle Daddy talks about taking over again, taking Zlata down. However, Desna isn’t sure his plan will work. While Ann stops at a red light, Uncle Daddy gets frustrated with a car stopped in front of them.

While sitting down, Greg’s mom brings up a conversation with Greg surrounding how Desna feels about her. She tells Desna that she understands where she’s coming from.
This gets everyone’s ears and attention, including Ann. Zlata then walks in, telling Desna she lost stones on her nails. Desna introduces Zlata to Madame Ruval, and Zlata’s happy to meet her. When Zlata tells Madame she and Desna are sister-friends, Ann side eyes that whole interaction.
“Wow. Three weeks with Zlata, and now they’re sister-friends?” – Ann
When Desna calls Ann over to talk, Ann feels relief, because she thinks Desna will notice how she’s reeling from being unable to adopt the child she planned to with Arlene. But Ann’s hopes are dashed when Desna just called her over to complete tasks. That includes taking books over to the clinic and making sure the construction workers at the other clinics aren’t slacking on the job.
Ann reluctantly continues her errands for Desna.
A montage scene is next, which shows Ken injecting himself with botox as Ann walks in. Next, Ann and her baseball bat get to work, chasing the construction workers slacking on the job.

Greg’s mom asks if she’s open to marriage and Desna says she is. Desna then asks her, “Why all the questions?”
“If my only son is to marry you, I need to know that you are worthy.” – Greg’s mom
Everyone looks on stunned at the revelation. This irks Ann even more.
“So, I lose Arlene and Desna gets the fairy tale. Perfect.” – Ann

“Oh, yeah. I know how that feels, man.” – Ann
Jenn and Poly side-eye Ann. Virginia says she was trying to help but, Dean says he didn’t need it. He also tells her in a really nerdy way that her shampoo stinks. Jenn tries to tell them not to focus on the “bull**** that doesn’t even matter,” but aggravates Dean’s hearing with her yelling.
Ann meet Henry and their parents for dinner.
In a surprising move, Ann put her best foot forward, wearing her hair down and wore a suit to dinner with her parents.
When she meets them at the restaurant, her mom mentions that she showed up late. The discomfort for Ann continues as her parents, who are Cuban, talk negatively about immigration. Ann, who’s a Democrat, strongly disagrees with her parent’s conservative political beliefs.
Ann tells her dad that he sounds like a crazy racist and reminds them that they’re immigrants.
They begin a debate as their waitress comes over, asking if they want desserts. Henry “flirts” with the woman, and of course, Ann side eyes the interaction.
“But you’re gaaaaaaay!” – Ann says to herself
Later on, Henry announces that he will run for governor. Although being excited, they then turn focus to Ann’s job. They turned their noses down at Ann’s job at the salon. They feel she should be doing more.
They also reveal they still stay in contact with Frank, Ann’s ex-husband. Ann’s mom suggest they reconnect as he’s single. When she brings up how Ann tried to kill Frank’s girlfriend, Ann reminds her of her orientation.

Ann and Henry learn something interesting about their parents.
Eventually, Ann returns from the bathroom high, and her parents smell it. They try to quiet her, but Ann is no longer quiet.
Ann then outs Henry to her parents, however, they didn’t care very much. Her parents say they don’t care. They said they ignored her because of her going to prison.
He parents also then outed themselves at dinner.
“Your father and I have been each other’s beards for years. Did you think Aunt Cecilia was your actual aunt?”
“Disgusting.” – Henry
Their parents talk about how they had to hide their s*xuality from being persecuted. Ann tells them they can be out, but they disagree. They then tell Ann and Henry to be mum about their revelation.
A Drunk Jenn ruins Ann’s bonding time with Henry.
Ann and Henry bring in the sunset on the beach smoking joints. Henry apologizes for not being as supportive as he should’ve. He also reveals he eventually plans to run for president. Ann understands that he can’t be president and be an out gay man.
This gets interrupted by Jenn slurring on the phone. She tells Ann she really needs her help.
Ann shows off her breasts to the guard who lets them off easy. But then Jenn gets caught with a bottle in her purse and throws up over Ann’s sandals.
Jenn learns Bryce wants a divorce.
The next day, Ann, Poly and Virginia take Jenn to an AA meeting. Ann sings a song about her and Bryce meeting at an AA meeting. Bryce shows up to the meeting with Roller and Uncle Daddy. They all sing the song with AA members changing to choir robes.
Once the song ends, Bryce walks out and tells Jenn they’re divorcing. He will file the paperwork. He also slips up, telling all of them that Uncle Daddy’s planning an assault on Zlata at her golf event.
This causes Desna to panic and wonder if she should tell Zlata.
Once they get back to the shop, Marnie stops by to tell Poly officials kicked her out of school over a headscarf. Poly tells her to leave the Nation of Islam alone but Marnie ignores this. She then openly worries that Marnie’s growing away from her.
Marnie says this was always supposed to be temporary. Poly hugs Marine but calls her Lilian. When Marnie leaves, Poly runs off to the bathroom.
Ann goes off on everyone, reveling the source of her stress.
Desna asks Ann if she should be loyal to Uncle Daddy or Zlata. This question sends Ann over the edge.
“I think you got a lot of nerve asking me about loyalty.” – Ann
This begins an argument, which concludes with Ann hitting Desna in the face. Desna was held back by Jenn and Virginia. Ann tells all of them that she sold out her relationship with Arlene for Desna.
Desna says that she’s done everything for them.
Things are finally revealed when Ann angrily tells them that she was going to adopt a child with Arlene.
Poly tries to follow Ann into the office for support, but Ann’s not here for it. She tells Poly to stop playing a character.
Eventually, Ann breaks down apologizing.
“She meant everything to me and I chose you over her.” – Ann
Desna apologizes too. Poly believes that Arlene isn’t a cop anymore, so they could patch things up.
Ann finally talks to Arlene, who’s still a cop on the trail of Desna’s pill mill.
At the encouragement of Desna, Ann drives over to Arlene’s and knocks on the door. But she doesn’t answer. So, Ann gets in the car, beating up the steering wheel.
She then calls Arlene, leaving a message that confesses to everything, including drugging her. Ann also says she did it to protect Desna.
“I love you Arlene, and I want you back.” – Arlene
Arlene finally calls back, and tells Ann that she got the message from DCF too. Apparently, they forgot to cancel the adoption. She also tells Ann that she is single.
They agree to talk later. However, Arlene is sitting in a cop car with her detective partner. They see Ken drive past in his car and they follow him to a gas station.
The episode ends with Kenneth getting arrested by Arlene and her partner.
