Gizelle meets with her her stylist and friend Kal at a restaurant.
They hug tight.
In a green screen interview, Gizelle says she met Kal through her ex husband. And they managed to hit it off immediately after he introduced them.
“I mean he messes my hair up every now and again, but he’s a great friend.” – Gizelle
Producers then flashback to less than flattering hair days for Gizelle.
She tells Kal that she’s hearing that Karen doesn’t actually live in her house in Great Falls.
“Word on the street is that she lives in a little apartment somewhere and she’s pretending to live in that house in Great Falls.” – Gizelle
Kal says that if this is true, Karen should just own it. He doesn’t think it’s a big deal for someone to have financial issues.
Gizelle agrees and says she is tired of Karen lying.
Ashley still wants more from Michael.
She says it would have been nice to come back to a lot of affection from Michael. But she got none of that. She plays with her dog Geronimo as she unpacks.
At this point, she’s not thrilled she doesn’t have any kids and no warm home to come back to.
So she calls up Sheila. They catch up and Ashley says in a green screen interview that she’s proud that Sheila is learning how to be independent. While she’s still with her boyfriend, she did move out of the hotel into a house of her own without Ashley’s help.
Karen confronts Matt.
In a green screen interview, Karen says she’s going through a lot and she can’t understand why Gizelle and Ashley aren’t being good friends.
“Friends don’t treat each other like that. Shame on you.” – Karen
Matt arrives and they hug.
She tells him about what Ashley said he’s been saying about her all around town.
He says he only told Ashley that when he first met Karen, she was living in Ray’s bachelor pad – a townhouse. Not an apartment.
Karen says that was over 24 years ago. Producers flashback to a scene in which Robyn asked Matt how long he’s been friends with Karen and he answered 12 years.
In a green screen interview, Karen says she trusts Matt.
“I believe Matt, not Ashley who lies on everybody. I think if she saw Jesus, she’d lied on him.” – Karen
Candiace and her sister Crystal call their mother Dorothy to discuss opening up a storefront for their hair line. She wants to be a supervisor but settles for being a consultant instead. Candiace is glad Dorothy took her demotion well.
Robyn, Ashley and Gizelle come up with a plan.
Robyn and her real estate mentor are checking out her new property. She’s planning to flip it.
Gizelle meets her there and isn’t impressed with the house.
“You paid for this?” – Gizelle
“Yes, this was close to free.” – Robyn
Ashley arrives. She realizes quickly that she’s wearing the wrong kind of shoes. Especially since they will be doing a lot of work on the house and tearing down a lot of walls.
They have some champagne after some light work.
The trip to France is discussed.
Karen becomes the topic of conversation and they all agree that they wish she would be more honest.
Gizelle thinks they should sneak by her house to see if she really lives there. Both Ashley and Robyn agree.
“Hopefully the Grand Dame still has a sense of humor. The tax man didn’t take that, did he?” – Ashley
Monique said her time in France brought clarity to her fallout with Chris. They have since patched things up.
He asks her when they will have another baby. She says they will when the time is right. She’s also not sure she’s properly dealt with having a miscarriage.
They both admit they need to make some changes so they can have a more balanced marriage.
Chris surprises her with a birthday gift. It’s new shoes.
Karen is at home setting up wine glasses on the table.
She’s convinced Ashley is just jealous of her. She feels Ashley is obsessing over her life.
Ashley meets with her mother Sheila.
Of course she wastes not time recapping the trip to France.
Michael then becomes the topic of conversation. She tells her that Michael doesn’t want to have kids because he’s afraid Ashley will be just like her mother while raising children. He feels Sheila is an irresponsible person.
This upsets Sheila.
“I’m all up in my head right now.” – Sheila
She then throws some shade.
“At least I have a relationship with my kids. They don’t curse me out everyday.” – Sheila
Sheila says she feels what Michael said was hurtful.
She brings up the fact that Michael had nothing but good things to say when they first met. She believes Michael just doesn’t want Ashley’s body to change due to pregnancy.
Ashley doesn’t believe she will ever have kids with Michael.
She’s trying to stick it out but she’s getting tired.
Sheila questions how much Ashley will sacrifice to stay married. This makes her cry.
In a green screen interview, Ashley says it hurts that Michael just married her for her looks. She doesn’t want to keep wasting time in a marriage with no substance.
“You are going to process how this man is doing things. Then you will figure it out.” – Sheila
Karen, Monique and Candiace hang out.
They walk by where Monique got married. Candiace says that she’s still trying to get everything worked out for her wedding. She says Chris has been keeping her calm.
“After the wedding, the goal is to be 100% independent and not have to rely on anyone. “ – Candiace
Monique says the hardest thing about planning a wedding should be the invitation list.
She then asks how Candiace how she and Chris are doing outside of wedding planning. Candiace admits it’s been stressful between them.
Chris wants to spend more time doing couple like things.
Ashley and Robyn make it to Gizelle’s house.
They are getting ready to do a drive by. The destination is Karen’s house.
“Does Karen really live in this 10,000 square foot house in Great Falls, is the question.” – Gizelle
They all get their wigs and disguises ready.
On the way to Karen’s house, Ashley says she’s beginning to believe the rumors more than ever that Karen doesn’t actually live in her Great Falls house.
Robyn just wishes Karen would be more open.
“It’s hard because she’s never honest.” – Gizelle
In a green screen interview, she says she hung out with Karen more when she lived in Potomac. But now she’s so secretive.
When they pull up to the house, Robyn decides to get out in her fake pizza delivery man costume. They elect Robyn to be the one to go up to the door.
She’s not accepting this and makes Gizelle and Ashley get out the car too.
Robyn rings the doorbell while Ashley and Gizelle hide behind a bush. She rings the doorbell and the episode ends.
