Fans and critics of Cardi B were shocked when it was confirmed that she tried to run up on Nicki Minaj during New York Fashion Week.
The incident took place at a popular after party thrown by Harper’s Bazaar.
There are multiple stories about how things actually went down that night, but one thing photographers were able to confirm was that Cardi was escorted out of the party with a lump on her head, a torn dress and no shoes.
She actually tossed one of her shoes at Nicki before leaving the event. The shoe did not hit Nicki and security was able to keep both ladies far apart.
So many of Cardi’s critics felt like the whole situation was a bad look for Cardi.
Rumors also been to circulate that some powerful people in Fashion were beginning to distance themselves away from Cardi.
The other day Cardi responded to the rumors on Instagram Live.
And she wants everyone know that it’s not her time to fall off.
Here’s what she had to say:
Y’all wanna know something?
You know, after the altercation that happened at Fashion Week, a lot of people wanna be like, ‘Cardi’s cancelled. They this and that.’
That’s not true. I actually got a lot of offers from a lot of fashion people that y’all will slowly but surely, slowly but surely…don’t forget, will see.
And a lot of people were doing rumors up that a couple of celebrities unfollowed me and that’s not even true. Those celebrities weren’t even following me.
Why can’t y’all just stop making rumors trying to make me look like I’m just over and everything?
When my time is over, y’all will see when my time is over. My numbers would be going down. I would not be on the charts. People would stop f*cking with me. You’ll see. God is saying it’s not my time yet. So just relax and enjoy the show. And worry about your life.
