Mariah and Lauren take a trip to Dr. Simone’s office.

As they await for her to enter the examination room, Mariah shows Lauren what it’s like to get a pap smear. Lauren gets freaked out after Mariah explains what the process is like.

In a green screen interview, Mariah says her very first OBGYN appointment was with a male doctor with big hands. She decided that day to never have a male OBGYN again.

“So my goal is to make sure Lauren doesn’t have that same experience.” – Mariah

Simone walks into the examination room and speaks to both.

“Your mom was my patient when you were in her belly.” – Dr. Simone

In a green screen interview, Simone says she delivered Lauren so it’s a beautiful thing to watch her grow up.

Lauren isn’t there for a pap smear. She’s actually there to talk to Simone about some things she doesn’t want to talk to Mariah about. They both urge Mariah to leave the room.

15 minutes later, Lauren and Simone talk about high school which will be a new chapter for Lauren.

She tells Simone she didn’t have a crush in middle school and Simone urges her to not worry about boys just yet.

“Right now, the time is to focus on school.” – Simone

Simone then asks Lauren if she has a cell phone. She warns Lauren against texting scandalous photos of herself to anyone. Lauren’s focus is on maintaining friendships with young ladies she trusts.

They hug after they end the conversation.

Quad comes by Dr. Jackie’s house to catch up.

They both agree that FITNI was a good time. It doesn’t take long for them to get into how Quad’s doing considering her split from Dr. Gregory.

She says it’s been hard and she doesn’t want to lean on anyone because she doesn’t want to burden others with her problems.

Dr. G calls and she hits ignore.

Jackie tells Quad that Greg calling her means he’s still wanting to work things out. But Quad s convinced he’s calling because he’s scared she’s going to divorce him.

In a green screen interview, Quad says that she got angrier after the blogs began to report on Greg’s time at the hotel with another woman.

As Jackie and Quad continue their conversation, Greg calls again.

“He’s really trying to find you.” – Jackie

When she picks up, Greg asks her why she’s not home at night. She says she’s been working and asks what else he needs.

“I need to know where my wife is!” – Dr. G

“Well listen brother, now you know.” – Quad

They end the tense conversation.

She tells Jackie that she and Gregory don’t have much conversation these days. But Jackie disagrees and says Greg was really concerned and looking for his wife.

“Well Gregory’s nervous right now. Gregory knows I’m ten minutes from f*cking divorcing his a*s!” – Quad

In a green screen interview, Jackie says it’s easy to give advice and hard to take it. So she’s just trying to hear Quad out.

Quad then breaks down in tears.

Jackie consoles Quad and tells her everything is going to be okay.

Dr. Heavenly and Dr. Damon’s 19 year old son Damon, Jr. is back at home from college.

He tells Heavenly that school is going good for him. Heavenly then asks him when he’s going to bring his girlfriend home.

“I don’t have a girlfriend.” – Damon Jr.

Of course Heavenly is not buying this.

In a green screen interview, Heavenly explains why she thinks Damon Jr. won’t open up to her about his dating life.

“I think that Damon Jr. feels some kind of way about dating. He don’t want me the to meet ‘em because I can see through these hoes. They all pretty. What does pretty gotta do with it? No, you need a woman like your momma. You don’t need no pretty b*tch. That’s an insult on me (laughs).” – Heavenly

Damon, Sr. comes out and hugs their son. After Jr. heads off, Damon tells Heavenly that he likes it when Jr. is home from school.

They discuss Heavenly’s recent anger management therapy session. She never really thought about the fact that her mother never told Heavenly she loved her growing up.

She also realizes that her dynamic with her sister Denise is very similar to the one she has with Mariah. Heavenly admits that some of the things Mariah says to her does get under her skin.

Dr. K telling Heavenly going back to Miami will help her was some stand out advice. Dr. Damon thinks she should do it.

Heavenly wants to take Simone and Jackie with her.

While Damon is down with the trip, he’s not so confident about Dr. K hypnotizing Heavenly when she returns from the trip after she discovers the true source of her anger.

All the husbands get together for a barbecue.

Eugene is on the grill as the guys begin to roll in.

Greg is the last one to arrive.

They ask him how he’s doing. Producers flashback to a typical day at the house for Quad and Greg since their split. Quad heads upstairs as Greg stays downstairs preparing himself something to eat. They don’t speak to each other.

He’s frustrated but he knows he’s done some stupid things as a result of that.

In a green screen interview, the other spouses give their thoughts.

Heavenly wants to know why men often cheat with the “lesser woman.”

Cecil says there’s no way to justify a married man being in a hotel room with another woman. His comment gets approval from Simone.

Meanwhile, Damon gets in trouble with Heavenly after he says that men had about 20 or 30 wives back in biblical days.

“Do you want 20 or 30 wives?” – Heavenly

“No, you’re more than enough.” – Damon

“So why you in the Bible?” – Heavenly

Eugene says that if a man is wanting to talk to someone else who is not his wife, he probably doesn’t need to be with his wife anymore.

Heavenly and Damon are still arguing.

“It seems like to me that y’all make excuses for men because it would be unacceptable for a woman to do it.” – Heavenly

Although Damon denied making excuses, he does admit to the double standard.

“Yeah, that’s right.” – Damon

Back at the barbecue, Curtis asks Greg what it would take for things to get better with Quad.

Dr. G says that he would need to feel like Quad desires him.

He feels like there isn’t much he can do to change how Quad feels about him.

Cecil says he didn’t feel like he was trying enough to save his marriage with Simone. He came to that conclusion at the reunion after hearing what Quad and Greg were going through.

“There’s no guarantee that you can fix it. But you can do your part.” – Cecil

Eugene says that as a child, he wanted his parents to separate because they fought all the time. He wonders what it takes for some couples to realize that “enough is enough.”

Now he’s not urging Gregory and Quad to divorce. But he does wonder when it’s time for them to say “I love you enough to let you go.”

Gregory says he wishes the old connection that they had could be restored.

He has a lot of love and admiration for Quad.

“If this is what you want, you stay the course.” – Curtis

Things are coming together in Eugene and Toya’s house search.

Eugene and Toya meet their realtor Anisa to see their possible future forever home. They are working with a new contractor, Neal. He has convinced them to allow him to build them a custom home.

They can get more bang for their buck in Alpharetta.

Toya can get her two level dream closet in the house Neal is wanting to build for them.

Of course Eugene is not thrilled about this. He feels like a two level closet is a waste of money. But Toya stands firm and says they can do whatever they want with their basement, so she doesn’t understand why part of it can’t be used for her closet.

Both of them will have to compromise on Toya’s closet and Eugene’s grilling deck to stick within their budget.

Cecil and Simone are making process.

Miles Facetimes Michael as Simone is walking back in the house.

She asks Miles if he’s been studying and taking his classes seriously.

In a green screen interview, she says that Miles is enjoying his freedom a little too much. She wants him to get more focused.

As they end the conversation, Cecil walks in and speaks to everyone.

In a green screen interview, Simone says things have been going much better with Cecil.

Cecil tells Simone he’s trying to figure things out with work since he doesn’t have to get up every morning and punch a clock.

“I know that’s not something you want to hear.” – Cecil

“Not really.” – Simone

In a green screen interview, Cecil confirms he was laid off from his job. He’s trying to figure out his next move.

The Kidz Force app isn’t as far along as he hoped it would be by now. He says the company run by the app’s programmer went under. So the app is on hold.

He feels it’s a blessing though because he gets to spend more time at the “North House” with Michael and Simone.

While Simone hopes they can live in the same house again soon, she loves the independence she’s been having.

But she’s willing to do what it takes to officially be a family again.

Dr. Scott heads to the doctor office with Dr. Contessa.

She’s really serious about getting a mastectomy. She’s been thinking about doing it for years.

Contessa really wants to make sure she doesn’t get breast cancer like her mother did. Scott is nervous about everything.

The doctor comes in and greets them both.

Given Contessa’s history, she wants both breasts removed.

With both of her parents getting cancer, she feels like she has no other options. Contessa learns the she will be able to keep her nipples. But she will have to stay overnight. It will take three to four weeks to completely heal. Scott jokingly asks if they can also tie up Contessa’s tubes too.

Heavenly is packing up her things for her trip to Miami.

Damon admits that he’s going to miss her while she’s gone. She’s willing to try anything to get better.

Jackie, Simone and Heavenly head to the Atlanta airport.

Both Simone and Jackie want Heavenly to take the trip seriously and get answers to help her in the present and future.

They rent a convertible when they get there and drive around with the top down.

Heavenly says that she wants to be open with Simone and Jackie. She feels the closet to them out of the group and she knows they will tell her the truth.

In a green screen interview, Heavenly says she hopes her openness won’t ruin their friendships.

When the ladies get to the hotel, they learn Heavenly only booked a two bedroom suite.

The views are amazing though.

Jackie will sleep alone.

Heavenly clashes with Jackie.

They talk and Heavenly admits she created her alter ego Little Kim to cope. Jackie says that she thinks Heavenly hits below the belt after someone says something to trigger her insecurities.

She should use her words to build up and encourage people instead.

Honesty shouldn’t be used as a weapon but Heavenly says that when she’s honest with people, it’s not retaliation. Just the truth.

“When you come back with the B word, and your mama, that is retaliation, girl.” – Jackie

“Well, it may not be to me. My mama called me that, “b*tch. So it didn’t mean anything to me.” – Heavenly

“Your mama called you a b*tch?” – Jackie

In a green screen interview, Jackie says the truth is black mothers used to say some really harsh things back in the day.

“You know better, you do better.” – Jackie

“And Jackie, I want to just let you know, I would prefer you call people a b*tch than the way you say certain things to people.” – Heavenly

“So now we doing a circle? You don’t like what I’m saying so now deflect and bring it back to me?” – Jackie

Heavenly then denies being angry with Jackie and says she sees now that Simone and Jackie may gang up on her.

The ladies change the subject and talk about how it felt for Simone to go back home when she was looking for her dad. But they get Heavenly to pinky swear to not being combative.

Contessa gets a call from her doctor who tells her she has an opening for Contessa to come in the next day for her mastectomy.

“Let’s just do it. Yes!” – Contessa
