Weeks ago, it was reported that “Love Is___” co-creator Salim Akil had been accused of stealing the concept of the show.
But the accusations did not stop there.
The woman who filed the suit also claimed that she had a longtime affair with Salim that went on for years.
She also said that Salim was allegedly abusive towards her.
However, Salim denied the accusations.
Apparently OWN has decided to part ways with Salim and Mara anyway.
According to Variety, the network has decided to cancel the show despite renewing it for a second season.
Salim is also the executive producer and showrunner of “Black Lightning.” As for now, the black superhero show has no plans to follow suit and end the show.
